i'll have to say maybe b/c when she first introduced natasha, she made it seen like something happened at diwali with fire. remember when ayaan and kanya were getting engaged and how pammi was like there can't be diyas b/c someone died on diwali? also there was phone call about how can you get kanya married from natasha. it could go either way, like split personality or another person. you could right that ekta didn't who should play natasha, but i think she wanted natasha to be the split personality of kanya. i could be wrong though. it doesn't really matter b/c no one will really know what's going on in ekta's mind except ekta! 😆
