kanya and natasha

I don't understand how kanya could be natasha. In a few episodes kanya's mom said that she must keep natasha away from kanya. Her mom and dad even went to the mandir to meet natasha and with shanta keeping her eye 24 hours on kanya and ranbir how can kanya leave the house. That makes no sense at all. I mean if kanya and ranbir have a eye locking scene than surprise who is there shanta.
