Thanks for mentioning these 2 books , i heard about ASURA but yet to read but surely read both the books 😊
Recently I read few of the books 😃

1)South of broad by pat Conroy:- It is wonderful book about Leopold Bloom King (Leo), his family, and his set of friends who he meets on a fateful Bloomsday (June 16, 1969), Leo is the narrator of the story who gradually reveals his troubled childhood which was traumatized by the sudden and unforeseen suicide of his older brother Steve. He reveals himself to be a paper-boy for the South of Broad delivery area, thus introducing the reader to the Charleston neighborhood. Hints at a previous run-in with the law are given and he will exit his parole period that summer. He then introduces the reader to his loving father and strict mother and how their life stories shaped their characters. An influential Catholic priest named Monsignor Max is also introduced, and he proves to be lifelong companion to Leo's mother after Leo's father passes away.
As you go on reading , the writer takes you into glamorous world of Vegas -inside GAY bars where first AIDS has been detected and into the shocking world of infected people and the devastating effects of the virus on its victims and how it affected these group friends, how it separated them , united them later on..Character sketching is just done brilliantly , the write gives you so many prospective to look at a person , he gives so many way to look at this story ...
I just loved it ...A must read I say 😃

2) Blind OWL by Sadegh Hedayat,:-this books is the most enduring work of prose and a major literary work of 20th century Iran and it is considered as one of the most controversial book when it got published because , I heard young people were advised to stay away from the works of Sadeq Hedayat, especially his Blind Owl. A few young people had strayed from this rule and, reportedly, had committed suicide, I don't recommend you to read it because even i could not finish it full ...I stopped in middle itself but one of my friend , who finished reading it said , it is just brilliant but also he added not healthy to read 😳

Thank you for sharing Sai. I have downloaded South of Broad. I will read it next😃
