A very happy new year Suvika nd really apologise for the delay in posting my review
Finally!! Thank God!! to you too Deepali...and thank you for this New year gift!!Each individual update is a fragment of a story containing great big familiar themes of love, loss, and regret and, ultimately, and most importantly, hope. It's a hopeless sort of hope, but it's very compelling.👏 fab way of putting it.Ch 1:The first update itself pulls you into the deep end leaving so many questions unanswered...gives the reader a mind boggling questionnaire to ponder over. It also brings out Ashu's devastated state of mind."I am sorry. If I could take it all back, I would. I would never give you a chance to doubt me and my love for you...Grips the readers attention...wat wud he take back? Wat was that happened that made him lose Nidhi?😆 if i answered that...then why would i be named the she devil??😉Even though he told himself it was all some morbid joke, he couldn't control the rush. Of hope. Fear. Helplessness. Hope. Rising against his will. Hope...Ashu's state of mind beautifully worked out...shows the numerous emotions wavering thru him.As readers, we are seldom interested in the fine sentiments of a lesson learnt; we seldom care about the good manners of morals. Repentance puts an end to conversation; forgiveness becomes the stuff of moralistic tracts. Repentance - is the very essence of romance, lying at the heart of much of the best fiction.Ch2:The chapter brings out Nidhi's physical n mental state of mind...a medically sound chapter.Nidhi is found by Armaan in a traumatic state in a hospital in Mumbai n she has no idea who she is or how she got there. An image flashed through her mind. Ashutosh, angry as he shouted and slammed a bunch of papers in front of her...Where was Ashutosh? Why was she seeing him angry...Emotional memories were persistent, loitering in some remote area of brain. The painful or unhappy memories people would most like to leave behind may be the ones that are most difficult to dislodge. Guess that's y that was the first image from her past to cross her mind.
true. and thats the part her mind doesn't want her to remember and is blocking it too. yet a few images manage to slither into the consciousness..
Only he had to make sure that when she did, when she remembered the past, he managed to convince her that he'd been wrong. He loved her. What he said that day, he would regret to his dying day...
the transition from lost to found is never an easy one. This is never easy, because it is not until our situation becomes completely hopeless that we can humble ourselves to the extent of admitting that such a gross mistake was our own.
very very true. this kind of jerk will rearrange the priorities that a person spends a life time denying.
Ch3 & 4
These chapters basically unfold the link between Ashni's past n Nidhi's accident that subsequently led to her memory loss.
"There's a lot I don't remember," she said hesitantly.
As if sensing her turmoil, he pulled away. He stared down at her, his eyes suddenly troubled and guilty. He blinked and that expression was gone. Had she imagined it? Probably. What would he have to feel guilty over?
😈 sabr
What terrible trigger for such guilt lies deep in his sub-conscious mind? Though no doubt some would say that, indeed, it may be some demon of conscience. A deeply buried guilt for some unforgivable depravity.take a random guess and let me know the kind of depravity na...😉And why is that she remembered all the dreams that they had dreamt together but has forgotten all the moments when those dreams turned into a reality?Again y??Going 'home' does not jog her memory n has no idea when n how she got married . All she remembers is her childhood friend Ashu n ArmaanUr research on Amnesia n it's diff forms deserves a huge round of applause. The story is medically sound n believable.you are the only one who said that. I have the name of a great doctor included in my name now. so want to be really careful about what i write..esp the med aspects.Rangas explanation in the next update again pinpoints to the fact that Ashu may just not want Nidhi to remember a part from their past thou he admits he made a mistake n probably has no explanation for his behaviour which may have triggered the series of incidents that led to Nidhi's accident.or the explanation he has still doesn't completely justify his behavior. even that is a possibility i think. i don't know. still haven't figured it out.😆
