Shirley,

I have no words to describe this fantastic, mindblowing...immensely thoughtful update.
Though I said, I will come later, but could not contain myself.
The clay models is very very well thught of! and pefect explanation. You have concentrated on the problem to a perfect clarity. Everyone is now clearly shocked with the repercussions. A small part of me is believing that Mrs Anita chapman's solution is a mere threat. But, it is very correct way to give a low blow!

You have given the right treatment!! and how!!!!πŸ‘

When I thought of this angle, I first wrote a different name to the principal. But, Indian values are very very different from the western world! I have known a English person (ofcourse, name is different).. a staunch follower of Swami Vivekananda 's follower. He is fascinated to Indian culture and married a girl from India (who was researching along with him on the philosophy of Paramahamsa from Kolkata.).. hence the name reflected here as AnitaChapman. I felt no other will understand the complexity of the problem so well than a person like Mrs.AnitaChapman. You have justified it 100%.

What would happen will be the next writer's vision... But that night should be the worst one for the internal turmoil of

Ashutosh -This should be the bone crushing situation for him..given his background... He gave his life for Wendy, because he understood the child's nightmares from his own POV.

Nidhi - the mother .. who is a rope in the hands of the real & practical life on one side and emotional upheavals, tender love & the anxiety for her son's future on the otherside playing tug of war

Rohan - a great eye opener which should shake him to the core
Anji - Be strong and should know the inner strngth of hers and extending help to Nidhi.

The rational part of me says, Aryan belongs to Nidhi and Ashutosh.

But I do agree, Rohan's intentions are not wrong... we should agree one point that he was never given a choice to learn his mistakes. When he chose Anji to Nidhi, Nidhi mere accepted his decision..never opposed.. so as Anji now. May be it is correct as well ... that marriage will be successful where the love is.. but he should learn a lesson while playing with a child's emotion

It will be interesting to read how Ashutosh fight his internal demons.. briefly his demons might revisit him..thinking that he has failed yet again with Aryan.

Ultimately, this is AshNi story. So, in my POV, Ashutosh will emerge as winner...with the help of Nidhi.
Nidhi is an angel for him. She helped him in recovering Wendy. Now it is Ashutosh's turn to help Nidhi.

I would like to read the last line.. as

Ashutosh opened his hands...Nidhi ran towards him.. into the inviting hands...πŸ˜³πŸ˜ƒ

Very beautiful update Mudra...portraying Aryans shattered state of mind which surprisingly the so called parents fail to understand.
When a couple gets separated or divorced, the people most affected in this decision are the children. Many parents don't think about the children but the children get mentally torn apart, and generally find it hard to cope with things in life, it basically affects their whole life, and the way they approach things.
It's important to acknowledge what they are feeling and recognise that these emotions are running high for everyone. The update clearly justifies Aryans arrogant behaviour as family configurations affect a child academic achievement, behavior and social growth. The effect of divorce on children is often overlooked. Divorce can have a negative effect on the way a child develops. Areas that may be affected in a child of divorce are emotional, behavioral, academic, and social. children need to have both parents in the home to have a balanced life. both socially and mentally

Thank you very much Deepali. 😊 As you said, children are the worst victims in these situations.

I am very proud to have someone of your calibre writing a review positively !!!😳

I would really love to read if, you take up the next chapter!

Hi Mudra sorry read your very interesting chapter , trust u to see the very practical side of the story , romance goes to the back burner when u have so many day to day worries for Ashu it's the commuting , for Nidhi it's trying to cope with a pregnancy a new and traumatised child , and the loss of her own son , for Rohan and anji, who can't see beyond their desire to have a child that in their selfishness , they are destroying a perfectly happy adjusted child , life has so many twists and the saddest is that children cannot make the decisions to what they want , hence start feeling the hopelessness of iot all , I don't know if u re member the case in Calcutta about a couple who fought for the custody of their 7 yr child in court , when no decision was reached they asked the child whom would he prefer to be with , he said both , the court ultimately ruled that the child be sent to a school hostel , and could spend alternate holidays with parents , the saddest part is that the child lost both parents and got sentenced to a life in a hostel , the loser was the kid

Your chapter made me feel sad to the plight of a child who gets caught in the selfish wants of its parents

First of all thank you very much Dr.Babs!

yes I remember that case... and very pitiful!!!
though, every case may not reach to that end.. but more or less all children get affected with parents not agreeing with each other. Many parents live out of the fear of the society together but the day today happenings really play bad on the child.

I was concerned about the parents here. Though, Ashutosh and Nidhi are ideal couple would become ideal parents to their children.. the practical situation is something different. Not all jobs have the luxury of having sabbatical leave and look after the needs.. It will be interesting to see what the future writer unfolding for us!

I would like to see the real mature love story between AshNi😳

Thank you once again

Thank you for writing this Fabulous update shirley. how well you debated the line of reasoning that childhood should be carefree, playing in the sun; not living a nightmare in the darkness of the soul.πŸ‘

Thank you Mudra, I take a bow - but the credit goes to you too in part. It was while writing the review to your chapter that this idea took root in my mind. So a big thank you to you too.

I cannot still believe that superb and stunning chapter you have given us Shirley... I will need to read 3/4 times more.

Actually even I feel this is good. I think I should stick to writing totally in English. Writing in Hinglish or a mix of Hindi and English dilutes the quality.

Detailed review in the evening... already reached office. runnig at the moment

Shirley just read it .. So gut feeling came out true .. You would send the children to state care ..

I have seen one such case here .. Only difference was kid was handed over to grandparents .. Parents were given visitation only..

Coming back to the chapter., the use of clay to depict the child's state of mind fab..

One of the best I have read from your pen.,

I so wish you could write more..
