"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one."

-- George R.R. Martin (A Dance with Dragons)

Also, they say the books you read influence your personality just as the way your company do!!!

We all must have read books ... I mean the compulsory ones... whether we liked them or not...

But truly, we must have read books of our choice with all the rejuvenated interest... and some books or characters do etch their own signatures in our minds and spring out at some other point of time!!!

What do you like to read? and what are those books or characters made an impact on you?
What are those books you would like to re-read and kept them as a trophy with utmost care?

What would be that book you choose.. if someone would like to gift you?😳

Please share
..😊

PS: Thank you Saibanu and Neelima... Your interest in books has opened a new road for me to understand the world that I could have done in 1000 different lives!!! and hence this post.

Here is Saibanu's choice

1)Books by Mitch album ( I liked all his book- 5 people you meet in heaven , Tuesdays with morrie , for one more day 😊)

2) There is one kannada novel , which i loved to the core - "Yaade vashem ", it is story of one young girl who escape from Germany and come to india along with her father during 2nd world war ...within a year even her father will die leaving her all alone in foreign land .. story is all about her survival and dealing with her past ."Yaade vashem" is nothing but name of museum in Amsterdam similar to holocaust museum ...

3) Root by Alex haxley( this one is also good )

4) There is another writer Chris Cleave even his books are good ( Incendiary and the other hand)

5) I like to read biographies

- A)dairy of anne frank
-B) his bright light -this story is about one young man who suffered from BPD

They say , Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home...isn't it ??😳

through this I could get to know about different books ..so that i can download later 😛

Very nice post Mudra..

Frankly I never had interest in books whether text book or fictions.. For me text books were more than enough but round about 3 years back one day I had a fight with my brother and he locked me the room and Chetan Bhagat's 'TWO STATES' was lying in the room, I started reading it and slowly developed the interest in reading.. then in one go I finish all his novels !! And now I just love reading !!..

Two states will always remain special to me and then my most fav 'P.S. I LOVE YOU' by Celecia Ahern !! I just love it..

Good choice!! Chetan Bhagat has voiced a perfectly ordinary student's plight ...many could connect with his stories...

PS I love you.. I read almost a year ago...and I find some or other strain of it every day!!!😳
