No-win situations in life

I usually like reading fiction. Philosophical books are certainly not my cup of tea. Recently I picked up Catch 22 by Joseph Heller.
The book has achieved iconic status and I feel it deserves all the acclaim.
Set in the 1940s it is a fictional tale about an US Air Force captain who is stationed on a Mediterranean island during World War II.
The book is not just about war, it's about the difficult situations people find themselves in, when there is a no-win situation and making a decision is the hardest thing in life.
While the story is awesome, the way it is written is very different and interesting. I am almost midway through the book and it is proving totally unputdownable. I would recommend this book to everyone.
