With no TRPs till December TV channels are trying to make most of it; A full week of maha-episodes of Pavitra Rishta on Zee Tv
The moment 'TRPs ki batti gul Hui – sabke Dimag ki btati ke jalne ka samay aya…' and the first one to lead is yet again Zee Tv.
It will be news to none that Zee Tv is trying to promote Pavitra Rishta big time, once it was a high grosser of the channel and it is still doing great but looks like channel wants the best. Have you noticed that every Maha – Shukruvar, Shanivaar or Maha – Sangam or for that matter any special episode on Zee Tv is not complete without the presence of Pavitra Rishta in it. If you have let loose your thinking horses on this topic you would agree to our earlier statement that Zee Television is religiously promoting its9:00 pm show Pavitra Rishta.
Well, we really do not blame Zee for it…9:00 pm being one of the prime slots of Television and it faces competition with the TRP topper serial Diya Aur Baati Hum and now joining the race is Bigg Boss Season 6…who would not fight?
So, this time when Zee Tv got its 9:30 slot free for a week as Phir Subah Hogi has been shifted to 11:00 pm slot from today and its new serial Qubool Hai is still a week from its launch, Pavitra Rishta is getting all the special treatment it can.
The show will now have a week full of Maha Episodes i.e. the show will have one hour specials from today to the Friday…now that's what we call the Maha Special treatment.
While it is obvious the result of this will not be clear till December (no TRPS!!!) but one thing is for sure that there is no loss, just pure simple gain; not just to Pavitra Rishtabut also to the new entrant Qubool Hai.
How? Very simple the religious followers of Pavitra Rishta would stick to Zee Tv for an hour and will lose a week of their 9:30 serial (if it had been on other channel) and whenPavitra Rishta will go back to its half hour routine audiences might stay back for Qubool Hai for a fresh new start (for the pressure for really interesting first few episodes is definitely high).
Even not so religious followers of Pavitra Rishta would love to see a week of Maha episodes as it can offer some speed to the slow moving track and more twists and turns in the story and the audiences might stay back for Qubool Hai as well. But it's not justPavitra Rishta benefiting Qubool hai there is also a vice a versa case…the audiences who are interested to view Qubool Hai might also view Pavitra Rishta in their wait for the show, as and when they get the hung of Pavitra Rishta they might continue to watch Pavitra Rishta even after the release of Qubool Hai.
So it's a profitable situation overall as we said there is nothing to lose; but there is a serial that can have the adverse effect of this situation. Phir Subah Hogi, a shift in timing can work both ways for the show either it will swim or get drown. Although there is only one serial in direct competition to Phir Subah Hogi in 11:00 pm slot Kuch Toh LogKahenge of Sony Entertainment Television, so there can be a chance that both the serials co exist in serenity or they both can fight for their right of viewers attention.
Hmmm well it's true when they say a life of a serial is as tough as the life of its main protagonists.
