Let us look at it objectively and concentrate only on Mallika's ill fate with the child... forget about her love for Ashu or past deeds...
>> Mallika might fiercely fight and keep the child's custody with her as she doesnt want that child to be with a father who might hate him...
>> Mallika might give-in and hand over the custody to Jagan and lose that single relation on the earth too
>> Mallika's child might turn Jagan a good fellow and 'they live happily ever after'
what kind of experience AshNi get from these scenarios?
I am not asking for the argument...but out of habit... I right usecases usually...

Argument or otherwise, I enjoy it, Mudra...just like we learn from people and books around us, if a fictional character can challenge us to think and influence perspective, then it is a great thing...at the very least, it gives us a chance to exchange views...
While you are talking about Mallika's future, I was talking about Mallika's past...
Nidhi at the moment is unable to understand Ashutosh's insecurities...or maybe she is deliberately blind to them...while one of the reasons is the fact that she does not want to be influenced on the baby decision, the other fact is that she has never know deprivation or insecurity...she has had all her desires fulfilled, including Ashutosh, and never had to go without anything...she has never known rejection...so maybe she does not know what craving is...Mallika, on the other hand, is a self-made woman...she has deprived herself in order to give her siblings a good life...when she fell in love with Ashutosh, while he was compassionate about it, he still rejected her feelings...while she bore on in the hope that he would someday learn to reciprocate, Nidhi's entry put paid to all her hopes...she tried her best to get her out of the way but to no avail...not even gifitng him his obsession made a difference...he still did not want her...then, on rebound, she married a man who successfully destoryed whatever was left of her sanity...she came back a half crazed and bitter woman...a woman who was willing to do anything to get what she wanted...to make up for her all past rejections...and we all know how that ended...
So, Mallika knows the pain of rejection and also the disastrous consequences of a single-minded pursuit of something without a thought to the other person's wants...she probably understands Ashutosh's insecurities better than Nidhi...even if she may not talk about Ashutosh, when she starts opening up on her own past and her own insecurities, Nidhi should understand what Ashutosh is actually going through...and why he is seemingly sulking even after agreeing to her wishes...also her fierce bond ( if there is going to be one) with her baby and her risking her life to have this child, which is not even a child conceived out of love, might open up a new perspective in Nidhi about motherhood...
With regard to Ashutosh, he understands and yet does not apprciate Nidhi's ambitions maybe...he does not understand what she feels when she sees her peers marching way ahead of her...Mallika has been a successful doctor who must have fought many male prejudices on the way...she must have striven hard to get where she did...so maybe she can understand Nidhi's concerns a lot better than Ashutosh...and may share the same with him but not in a direct manner..
All this is my hypothesis of course...we may or may not see any of this on the show...if it plays out this way, I will watch it...but if it does not, I might not bother to watch...
Whatever, despite all her past behaviour, I am willing to watch Mallika if only to see how effective or otherwise this transformation will be!
