u know deba,when i was in school,there used 2 come a show on zee..sailaab..it starred renuka shahne n mahesh thakur.. this song was its title track ! i guess i was in class 7 or 8.. i dint understand d lyrics ...coz they were 2 heavy for me..but i loved d voice.. it was d 1st ever ghazal i heard ! later on ,i heard all his songs ..but this is my fav ! apart from this ,i like haath choote bhi to rishte nahi choota karte, koi yeh kaise bataye a lot ! and many more ! he n kishore kumar r my fav singers !
