Okay people, we seem to be going around in circles...but based on a discussion on another thread, this track could well be a twisted Aaina after all...am reproducing the discussion below...let me know what you guys think...
This is a very, very interesting perspective,...and even makes sense even if in a convoluted way...about the tiff, the sequence was shown on SBB/SBS etc!
Thanks Blushsarika once again...this brings me back to one of my theories that I had put forth in my poll yesterday..was Ashutosh trying to save Nidhi from Mallika...am not saying that he is faking...but, like Blusharika has pointed out, Mallika has come to harm twice in his house...and both times the needlle of suspicion has pointed to Nidhi...circumstantial evidence has implicated Nidhi...now logically, one would think that Ashutosh would trust Nidhi...he should for sure...the only problem is what does he do with Mallika...a doctor has testified that she is mentally ill ( let us forget for the moment that due diligence was not carried out etc)...so he cannot question Mallika's act...that would be like questioning a fellow doctor's integrity and professional competence...and, even while he knows in his heart that Nidhi is blameless, he has no explanation for what has happened...but he surely understands that the situations are playing out in a way where Nidhi is being implicated...the only way to get out of this situation is to keep Nidhi out of the house...he cannot send Mallika away because she has nowhere to go and, besides, on what grounds does he send her out...
So, he is possibly wanting to protect Nidhi by keeping her out of harm's way or, in this case, Mallika's way and trying to get to the truth on his own...and yesterday, it was patently obvious to anyone with any sense that Mallika was asking for Nidhi's ouster...it helped when Nidhi herself asked if she should leave...so Ashutosh played along and asked her to do as she pleased...
On letting her go out late at night, I have no defence...except that maybe Lucknow is a very safe place and he has great faith in Nidhi's survival skills...on preventing BB from going after her, again I feel it was probably to prevent Nidhi from coming back...he felt she would not refuse if BB pleaded with her.,..and he did not want her back...so no wonder he was shocked when
Nidhi popped up again...
Is this the Gift of the Magi...are husband and wife trying desperately to protect each other in their own ways...if so, only if so, it makes some kind of sense!
