In all probability he would...but we know there is Nidhi's fake falling at feet scene to follow...then the namak chidana scene...and then the scene where Nidhi takes the initiative to move out of their marital bed...and they are discussing Mallika's faking and not Nidhi's attempt...this implies that Nidhi somehow manages to escape the trap...!

Brainless Ashu will believe Mallu and according to SBS Nidhi will apologize to evil Mallu. Only thing I want to see in the end of this track is Ashu should apologize to Nidhi falling on her feet. He has passed all his limits not trusting Nidhi and treating her like a door mate. If Nidhi forgives him easily then nidhi dosent know the meaning of self respect. There is no excuse for his behavior. Since beginning Mallu is evil so we cannt ask any thing better from her, but Ashu knows how Mallu manipulated him and made him throw Nidhi out of hospital. Any person in their right state of mind would understand this. This is just my POV.

The reason I posed this question was that, I can't get my mind around the absurdity of this situation. What person in their right minds would assume that his wife would do something like this. (I know that this is stupidity on my part, to even try and reason this out)! I mean why did ashutosh marry Nidhi, if he, even remotely thought her capable of such heinous acts.. But I wanted to see what everyone thought. I know that he will believe mallu, and I also know that there is no Aaina track. But... And if wishes were dreams we could all fly. 😆
