The precap did not make me fume. On the contrary, it only got me laughing for it completely falsified the honorable writer's claims.

Daily soaps operate on a basic philosphy - play out one twist after the other even if it means butchering the characters that you have created and completely abandoning all consistency and logic. For all his bravado, our dear writer is no exception.

Ashutosh did not marry Mallika even to keep his promise. Ashutosh did not marry Mallika even to prevent her from digging her own grave in the name of Jagan. Ashutosh did not marry Mallika even when he thought Nidhi was out of his life. More recently, Ashutosh continued to romance Nidhi even after being fully aware of the fractured state of his soulmate. How this reflects on his bond with Mallika is anybody's guess.

Suddenly, in today's precap, Ashutosh turns around and asks Dadi Bua to quit and, even better, take Nidhi with her if she cannot accept his relationship with Mallika. This scenario leads me to two make the following two inferenes, either one of which could be true.

1. Ashutosh is so guiltridden on account of Mallika's condition and blames himself so completely for it that he decides to champion her cause at the cost of all else. That he is not in love with her is as plain as the nose on my face but he definitely feels obligated. If this scenario were true and guilt were the primary driving force, then the sponge bath scene at the hospital and the subsequent romantic scenes at home make no sense. No person who is consumed by guilt can romance while his soul's mate suffers such extreme mental agony. If Ashutosh can, then he is not an honorable man.

2. Ashutosh spoke those words for a reason. There is a purpose behind all his actions. His deliberately bringing Nidhi into the equation smacks of an ulterior motive. Either he wants to get Nidhi out of his home for reasons of his own or he wants to convince someone else of the same. In effect, Kamlesh Pandeyji has an ace up his sleeve that he will drop at the right moment.

If the first scenario were true, then Kamlesh Pandey is guilty of playing the game just the same as everyone else. He and his show are not as exceptional as he would have us believe!

If the second scenario were true, he is still guilty of going down the beaten track. How many shows before have come up with scenarios where the lead would mislead us on the intent of their actions only to pull a rabbit out of the hat at the last moment!

I am inclined to go with the latter option because of the misleading statements that Kamlesh Pandeyji has been making about soulmates and so on. Seems like a deliberate attempt to mislead an audience to ensure that the twist, when it comes, is ovenfresh.

Either which way, it is sad to see yet another show bite the cliche-dust!

Edit- Baba's house was all that mattered to Ashutosh at one point in time. However, he was willing to let his obsession go because his love for Nidhi mattered more to him. Subsequently, he did not allow himself to be manipulated by Mallika when she gifted him the house and then asked for marraige in return. This means that even the house was not worth marriage to Mallika. Also, he knew that Mallika was using the house as a pawn to get him. This being the case, how does it matter how she sourced the money to buy the house. If this is reason for his extreme gratitude and slavelike devotion, then he should have married Mallika right then. Sorry Pandeyji, just not adding up!

No, sweetie, this writer is not an exception, he is just mature.

He might as well be honest and say that even the best of them have to follow the beaten path when it comes to TV shows. Instead, he is passing of a mediocre show as a masterpiece!

his arrogance and posts irks me more than the serial.

I dun think anyone thinks the show is a masterpiece... else it did been getting jury nominations in award shows n special mentions in reviews..

Fact is .. its got a fanbase.. who stick with it.. like all shows do... n the attempt of the writer n makers is to increase this base.. with good or bad tracks/twists etc...!

No one else does...that is clear...and yet, the interesting premise and the sober performances ( barring Dadi bua's screeeching at times) has caught the interest of an audience that is tired of the saas bahu shows...I am not saying the man should run his show down...but I so wish he would give up on his notion of being exceptional!

I like your second point. Ashu may be doing it on purpose to trip up Mallika. Maybe he sees through her act, and wants this farce over with quickly also. Hence pretend to throw nidhi out. He had to find a reason to do so though, and DB gave it to him, and he snatched it up.
Sorry Not doing a seesaw, but trying to see another point(a more positive one)(doobte to tinke ka sahara)and trying to justify it. It's certainly better to believe this scenario, than the negative one. Definitely better for the heart and mind.
I hope with all my heart ke yeh hi sach ho. I love ashu's character, and it is very painful to see it being flushed down the toilet.
