Earlier episode of SONY TV Kuch Toh Log Kahenge showed that Mallika (Rukhsar) tried hard to persuade Dr. Ashutosh for marrying her. She also tried to blackmail Ashutosh for marrying her in return of his house. But, Ashutosh refused to accept Mallika because he was in love with Nidhi and cannot give her place to anyone in his life.

Mallika further tried to make Ashutosh jealous by accepting marriage proposal of Jagan whom Ashutosh dislikes. However, in the yesterday's episode Mallika told Ashutosh (Sharad Kelkar) that she is getting married to Jagan. Ashutosh tried to make her rethink on her decision. Mallika says she will rethink only if he marries her. Ashutosh told her that he cannot marry her. Mallika is hurt by Ashutosh's refusal.

Mallika waited for Ashutosh for long time but he did not come. In the process, Mallika unhappily got married to Jagan in the registrar office. Though Mallika is now a married woman, she will move away from Ashutosh's life or she will again try to get Ashutosh is still a question.
