The few times I have even managed to catch a few glimpses of KTLK these days, I can't believe the level of incompetence shown by the writer's. KTLK was a show I could barely stay away from on a daily basis for the first 50 or so episodes. The freshness and pace was unbelievable. 8 pm of a weekday was sacrosanct and all other things stopped for that half an hour. But the way the storyline has been pumelled with negative track upon negative track upon negative track is just astounding. Can barely remember any happy episodes bar a solitary valentine day epi here and another one there since the hurriedly done dargah scene. There are so many open tracks going nowhere...Mansukhani and the business angle, Aditya and the bank, Bagchi, the house, Nidhi's internship, Solankis brag about dragging the bank to court...to name a few amongst many. And now another morose and dumb track of a patients operation by Ashu. Why on earth would reporters even ask about a love life of a doctor and link it to an operation? No consent forms were even signed before the operation that covered the risk? No interns at all on duty? And Nidhi can just waltz in and tell Mallu...he is my patient??? Hello...Do u even work here anymore? I know this is a serial and one should give concessions but when will the writers start thinking about the viewer and think that wow.. ..they do have brains and cannot tolerate these morose logicless tracks anymore...When? The TRP's are screaming for life support.
Nidhi and Dr A barely got to love each other and were torn apart in a few episodes, Nidhi just decided to not meet Ashu...now she is meeting him less than two episodes again, Ashu is completely inverted characterwise and vis a vis his behaviour with Mallika. Instead of wasting all those stupid episodes on the jungle and car scene, the specs , the T-shirt and the hair dye, why couldn't they show a deepening of their bond to a point where they decided how to handle society instead of these knee jerk vaadas and promises that mean squat in two days time anyways.
When you start picking up a few coconut trees in Madh island, Mumbai and pass it off as Kerala, it is disgusting to watch. Surely they could at least open up the purse strings and show a few real scenes in Kerala for heaven sake. and as far as Baba goes, he is may be having Alzheimer's but he is not a mental case surely. Can't the nursing home at least afford a hair cut and shave and present Alok Nath neatly instead of looking like a unkempt polar bear at all times?
The TRP's are at 0.6 now...won't be long, with IPL coming and matches beginning at 8 pm or 8.30 pm...for the TRP's to sink to near 0 levels. The same old same old same old rehashed tracks coming and going again and again...Nidhi-Mallu, Mallu-Sue, nidhi-baba...man...just fed up of the rehash with no movement in a positive direction at all. This might be my last post so thought of sharing the disappointment that this once very promising serial has now become...a ghost town lost in confused tracks going nowhere.
