Frnds..this is a person's reply to NP'S comment..this post is shared by me over here from a different forum..im not the original writer and all credits to the original writer..here it goes -
I have stopped watching KTLK many
many weeks back even before Mr. Bahl
left the show. However, I visit this
forum just for fun as it is amusing to
see viewer's involvement with the
show, with its charectors, their way and language of expressing their
sentiments et al. The peak of their
frustration has been this event of
departure of the male lead. And I read
your comments which, to me,
appeared like a self morale boosting effort. Consider these facts whle
you respond to the viewers'
comments:
- People came in front of TV at 8.00
p.m. to watch the show thinking it was
a different show. After learning
about the original classic drama DK,
many watched the orignal
masterpiece, and had their expectation raised with regard to
the richness of content and dignified
charectors of the KTLK. Alas, the
quality of the show went drain-
worthy as the creative team went on
dragging it to a nonsensical extent.
- Unfolding of DK story is so mature.
Draw some analogy- the whole
relationship between Drs. Ahmar and
Zoya evolves while being in the
hopsital with each of them showing
high degree of their professional competence and commitment. In fact
their professional commitments lead
to generate mutual respects, and
bring them gradually closer. Compare
this with a gross level at with Dr. Nidhi
is depicted in KTLK. She is made to sit at home, and her only job is to act
and express her love like a teenager.
Compare Dr. Irfan's character in DK
with Dr. Rangnath in KTKL. It would be
impossible to visualise DK without Dr.
Irfan. Whereas poor Dr. Rangnath is reduced to Rangu, and whose presence
is insignficant (likewise absence too) in
the show! Dr. Sheena's character is so
close to real life- some one
desparate who is losing her battle,
making humanly possible efforts to hold her love interest. Here Dr.
Mallika is reduced to indulge in 'saas-
bahu-nanad' genre tamashas.
- With this background, when the
most popular actor of the show
quits, it is bound to generate a
reaction with such magnitude that may
appear to be of 'national importance'.
The fact remains is that it is the actors that carry certain roles, and
make them look like real life
charectors. Can you imagine Dr.
Ahmar played by any one else than Mr.
Rahat Kazmi, or Ms. Zoya other than
Ms. Marina Khan or for that matter Dr. Irfan without Sajid Hassan? In the same way can u imagine Dr. Ashu played by anyone else other than MB? NO..he has put the emotional touch required and has made the character and himself a part and parcel of our lifes..These
are the actors who have immortalised
their characters even if they are in
dramas. So when the viewers express
their feelings on quitting of Mr. Bahl,
why you have to respond with such meanness? ( Some did feel SR being a bit rude in her replies ) Afterall, he commands
such a huge fan followings which in
your words had lead to a debate of
'national importance'! It could be a business as usual for the
creative and acting team of KTLK, but
many of the viewers are going to be
thuroughly disappointed with the
show minus Mr. Bahl in it. Atleast for
their sake, stop having fun on them. As such they are putting up with a
crass show compared to DK.
