i agree and this experimentation is what brought us to KTLK 😆gosh what a mistake
SP --> targets female audience and their everyday nuances.. mostly the kind of audience who dont think much abt the story or subject thy r interested more in twists turns drama and masala.. or outright romance..
SP had never been my fav except for those dubbed/english dramas tht i used ot watch on in its early days.. esp Remington Steele..😍 the last fav hindi soaps were Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, Tu Tu main main, and Shararat!😆😆😆

Zee --> Started was a gud family channel initially.. it had variety of gud quality shows.. bt gradually it strayed off its path with invasion of Saas-Bahu saga invasion from SP..
was one of my fav channel.. had lots of my fav shows.. Zee Rishtey, Yule luv stories, Sailaab, Hum Panch, Kusum.. and I luved all the game shows.. saap sidi.. ek minute.. it was lot of fun!
ommgg our tastes are soo similar😲u and i belong to the same era 😃..sailaab is my all time favorite and i loved the zee ristey stories
Sony --has been long trying to get its hold and target mature, urban, and learned audience.. the reason it has been sucessful tht it gets those audience in its weekdays which other channels fail majorly...with CID, CP, Comedy Circus, Adaalat.. YRF shows..Jassi.. BB.. channle struggled with gud daily soaps bt its my fav for the variety it offers..
haan i have always turned to Sony for something new...i used to watch ek ladki anjaani si initially till the lead was replaced
was my fav channel for CID wen i resumed TV... Was my fav for initially dubbed childrens series.. I dream of Jeanie, Silver Spoon, 3 stooges..bewitched.. denice the menance.. whos the boss.. and many more.. and yeah and comedy series.. Family No. 1..😆 and the only daily soap i ever watched..Kutumb.. dubbed cartoon series was fun to watch..

Imagine --> started as a channel with hatke shows.. and i appreciated this "Fresh" channel for its Oye its friday!... Angrezi mein kehte hai.. ek packet umeed... nachle ve with saaroj khan.. Main teri parchayi hoon.. Jasu ben.. and lastly KMH.. thn it jst wen down the drains.. its still trying to retain audience..
the only show i liked with its launch was radha ki betiyaan ..their launch was good but then it went down the drains
I also took a sabbatical from TV for 3-4 yrs inbetn.. i can easily say tht those wer my best days.. bt if i have to chose a channel for its content and quality i can say my best channel so far was undoubtedly DD.. have some gud memorable shows.. and Sony, Zee, and Cartoon network comes nxt in my growing yrs..
i have grown up on doordarshan..and nothing can remotely come close to that...the best era of television in terms of show,stories and actors..imagine watching naseerudin shah ,om puri,and their likes on tv daily ...and shows written by brilliant writers and executed with such finesse even with the limited resources...they managed a winner again and again
i feel quality of the shows have degenerated so much in last few decades...
very badly..there is nothing left ton tv...shows today addict me if it promises romance and jodis that have chemistry..i have stopped looking for plot,logic or sense...the romantic scenes and love stories are what keep me still hopeful on tv..other wise televison is at an all time low ..with trps strangulating it
