Rangnath's story is basically a comedy track besides being a love story of similar age young couple as contrast to Nidhi and Ashutosh's love story of couples with a large age gap.And why do you think his parents are cliched? Have you been to the interior of Haryana? I come from a village and a large part of India is still in the 14 Century. Just because you have seen them earlier does make them cliched. A loving mother does not become cliched just because you have seen her many times. A loving mother is a reality, she exists. So do Rangnath's parents. They are also characters. I may not agree with them, I may think they are old-fashioned trapped in a time-warp, but they need space in our stories. And there is no sajish, it is Nidhi's own insecurity as a young woman, specially after what she had been through by Mallika in the hospital. She has a reason to be insecure.Mallika's return feeds her anxiety and fear of the old trouble raising its head. But Mallika's condition melts the woman inside her. So inside Nidhi, a wife and a sensitive woman are fighting each other. And romance is there, please do not be so impatient. I cannot load every episode with everything. Scenes need punctuation and space for rhythm, highs and lows, vallies and peaks. So the conflict will be punctuated with romance. The conflict adds spice to romance. Haven't you ever been in love? A threat to love makes lovers more passionate. Threat, any kind of threat, triggers passion.Suddenly a new energy surfaces to confront the threat whether you are facing a deadly snake or a rival in love.
I really like the way KPji compared mallika(rival in love) to a deadly snake. It is spot on.Originally posted by: Armu4eva

My thoughts on KPji's threat and love explaination.
We have seen Suhasini saying to Mallika that when men are sick they become very fragile emotionally. (jab Ashu beemar ho jata hai, aur vo Malikako uski halatka phayda uthaneke liye keheti hai) Is bar bhi Ashu beemar hai aur Mallikato itni boori halatme hai ke Ashu to ab bahotahi hil gaya hai. Is halatme ye Mallikarupi threatko Ashu aur Nidhi dono milkar apne pyarse kaise face kar payenge? Dusari baat ye hai ke abhibhi Ashu aur Nidhike beech pati patnika nata itana set nahi hua hai and moreover jab jab Nidhi is naateko pakka karne jati hai to Ashu Mallikaki baat chhed deta hai. (Peechhale do dinoke romantik scenes me Mallikaka jikra aahi gaya tha) Finally Nidhiko Ashuki baat manani padti hai. Ab Mallika hospitalme aaneke baad to Ashuka kya haal hoga? Woh to usko jarabhi chhodana nahi chhega. Last time jab Mallikane apani kalai kaat lithi tab woh kitana uske paas reheta tha? Nidhikobhi jhoot bolke taal deta tha. Ye saari baate threatko pyarki takadse takkar deneme kafi mushkil lagti hain. What do you guys think?
so true paaya, if Ashni rishta is so weak den it cn b torn in anyway! KP is building their rista a strong 1, by cming up cnfilicts of Mallika track n yep fun 2 Watch Anjie adjusting in Haryanvi Old family!
So then there is no way Ashu can be threatened by the Rohan letter, can he?
I like KP's thoughts - he knows how to keep the pace of the story going - really, I would been one of those folks who would have stopped watching post the Ashni shaadi otherwise.
At the same time, I see a contradiction in the Haryanvi village track parents and Ranganath being the story's comedy track. So if there is a rural family caught in the 14th century with obsolete ideas about gender roles, should we be laughing??
