"I love you Dr Nidhi Varma, very much" these words echoed in his mind as he woke up the next morning. They felt so right yet so new to him, to finally voice out his feelings made him feel like a free bird. Everything was so new yet he felt alive as if the wall of pain, denial, loneliness around him had finally shattered to give way to a new man.

As he stepped in the kitchen, he remembered another time, where a certain young woman had come in to make tea; today as he repeated the same actions it brought a smile to his face. "You are looking very happy today and it's good to see you so" Again kaka's words had a ring of familiarity as there were often repeated after each of Nidhi's visits earlier one, all this making him realise how important she had been to him since she walked in his life.

After waking Armaan and listening to his somewhat dubious advice on how he should proceed with Nidhi he made his way to the hospital. Once in the premises he immediately made his way to his no their children's ward, to Pooja the little girl who had been waiting for the continuity of the king and the butterfly story. Indeed that ward was special to both as this is where Nidhi had started to wave her magic on her , her attitude, behaviour at work shattering every single working principles he had believed in and stood for at Dr Kotnis. As he stepped in the ward he went to Pooja's bed , " Pooja beta, i have come to you with a special story" " ohhh raja ur titli wali". Her swift reply made him smile, and he started.." remember I told you that the king made the butterfly go away, well after sometime the King realised that he was wrong and set out to find her , after a long search he finally finds her but the king thought that she would be angry and there were several misunderstanding till one day they came face to face and the king said " I am sorry titli please come back, then maybe the titli felt pity on the king or simply realised that the king was a nice person and decided to accompany him back to the palace." He ended the story with a broad smile. "Well you know how to tell good stories" came a voice behind him, and this brought him back to reality, and he shifted back to Dr Ashutosh mode, putting the thoughts of his nidhi away so as not to let Malika doubt anything.

A few hours later

Sometimes later he moved back to his office hoping for a breather after all that work, as he set his phone on speaker to listen to his messages, as he continued his work a voice brought him to a halt, "Dr Ashutosh, I am a patient, you cured my heart sometime back but of late there seem to be some problem," he took his phone trying to figure then slowly started to smile, who else could it be other than nidhi.

"Ashutosh who is this" he heard Malika saying and he knew he could not reveal the truth not to a woman who despised Nidhi so much. Finally he managed to get rid of her and decided to call her back.

"Nidhi don't live such messages on my voice mail again" he said in his best Mr Hardstone voice.He was a bit upset as he was aware of the dangers should someone else hear the messages on his phone. It was only when he heard a tiny childlike voice going " Are you angry" that he realized that she might have taken his words badly, " I am sorry" she continued, and this apology was too much for him, "I was just joking" he said as he tried to lighten her mood.He felt that he had to voice out his thoughts about the issue, theirs was a budding relationship and at no cost he wanted to be the cause of hurting her or making her cry.

Nidhi at the other end finally saw how her messages could have been misinterpreted and how he could have been embarrassed. As he explained the consequences of that call, she reveled in the emotions she could feel as he spoke. Yet there was a small disappointment that she had caused him to feel uncomfortable." I am sorry" came a small childlike and it struck that she may have been hurt by his behavior, and he berated himself in his desire to avoid any uncomfortable situation he had hurt her sentiments.

" No Nidhi don't misunderstand me, I don't want you to feel ashamed or guilty of your actions, what i want you to understand is that we have to be careful, we are starting a new relationship and I think we should take it one step at a time and let it develop, of course the time will come when we will have to accept our relationship in front of every one but till then...

" You will never have any more cause to complain about me" came the reply. It hurt him that she thought he meant she should be different." No Nidhi I don't mean you should change, I like you the way you are with the pranks I don't want to change you into a different person,you are special just the way you are." He felt good as he said these words, that was the special trait of this girl he thought, she had that special ability to make him open up accept emotions that he never thought he would feel.

In a bid to lighten the atmosphere,he asked her what she wanted to do today. Hearing him asking her made her happy and contented as she really felt his desire to bond more with her. As a result gone was the pout and upset, she immediately reverted to her bubbly self. This made him smile, her next words should not have surprised him, her comment about a tshirt reminded him of the picnic,her exuberance made him happy, no matter how childish her request may seem he would indulge her.

He has to admit that he did cringe when he saw the picture of the tshirt. He tried to sway her opinion but deep down he knew that he would do what she wanted for the simple reason that it would make her happy.
