Hi friends...Its me Mehek once again here to annoy u all with a boring post. But what to do...Main hoon adatse majboor...whenever some thought or a feeling connected to a fave show of mine enters my mind I like to share it with u guys.
From the outset KTLK wss promoted as a hatke love story and so far it has stayed true to this description. To say I love the show is stating the obvious as i only visit and make posts on forums of shows which hold a special place in my heart.
So far there have been many posts on the hatke kind of love in this show so I guess one more post on the love aspects of KTLK would not make any difference...This show has so far emphasised on three different personalities all in love...But does that mean there are 3 different types of love?????
'Love'...A small four-letter word but one which has gr8 depth of meaning and feelings too...In KTLK s far the story is revolving around the love of Ashu-Nidhi and Mallika..
Starting with Mallika ...She claims she loves Ashu to distraction...so much so that she has been waiting for 12 years for Ashu to love her...In her case her love has now become an obsession...Since 12 years Ashu has been telling her she is a very good friend of his but she still does not get the hint...She has not yet realised that just by loving someone and waiting for that person for 12 long years does not mean the other will finally love u back. As Ashu once told her... "even if we do get married only ur family will be happy, but u and I won't"...That was such a true statement. Mallu has been trying her best to make Ashu fall in love with her for so many years, but has so far not succeeded in achieving this. When will she realise that love cannot be got on demand bu it is just a feeling which simply happens???? Her refusal to accept the fact that her love is unrequited love has started to burn her up with jealousy and her IL Sultry Sue is adding fuel to this burning jealousy...Her love has turned so obsessive that now she can't distinguish between right and wrong...If she does not get ove this obsession she is only going to suffer.
Nidhi's love is like a breath of fresh air as compared to Mallu's obsession. It is the typical love of a youngster who is experiencing the first flush of love. It started with awe for a superior, which later changed to respect and admiration for him, and gradually blossomed into something more deep...She began to care for his happiness...She was happy when he was happy and sad when he was sad...If it were in her power she would never let even a shadow of sorrow cross his path...when she said .."I wish I could get him back his house..." says it all. Her tranformance from an irresponsible carefree young girl to a responsible doctor and a caring human being shows the true power of love. Her maturity was seen when she said that "just because she loves Ashu it does not mean that he also has to love her"... The depth of her love was seen in the way she di not want anyone, not even her Baba to insult or hurt Ashu even though he had mercilessly hurt her...
Now coming to Dr Ashutosh...It is said that when love evades a person for a long time u should be very careful...because when such a person finally falls in love he falls deeply and irrevocably in love. So is the case with Ashu. He has finally realised that he is in love and instead of being happy and elated at finally experiencing this wonderful feeling he is torn by shock and guilt...shock that when he did finally experience this feeling it was for a girl half his age and guilt that should Nidhi also fall in love with him he could be ruining her life...Just the thought of what Nidhi would have to face from her family and from society and large is enough make him keep his feelings to himself...It even compelled him to hurt his beautiful 'Titli'...and in her hurt was his hurt...I his own words his love would remain in his heart as a nasoor, and he would live with this to live with this festing wound for the rest of his life being happy that at least the had saved her from the shame of falling for a man double her age and also from any other problems such an alliance would cause her...He wants her to move on in life knowing very well that he would now revert back to becoming the same introverted man and once again lock himself up in a castle and close all the windows and doors...(This dialogue of Ashu to Pooja yesterday really touched me to the core of my being). Ashu's love is the epitome of selflessness and sacrifice for which he is prepared to live a lifetime of misery and loneliness but happy that somewhere the girl he loves is happy in her life...
But little does he know that true love does not care what the world thinks...Age, caste, creed or religion has never been able to deter true love and will not do so in this case also. Love always finds its way into people's hearts and so also I am sure Ashni's love will find a way to overcome all hardships and problems. Firs we waited for Ashu's realisation of his feelings and we got it in a very beautiful way...Now I am waiting for Ashu's declaration of love to Nidhi..And I am sure Kamleshji will do that also wonderfully...
Sorry folks for the long boring post but love always makes me go gaga and I then tend to ramble on and on..And Ashni's love is really beautifully executed and superbly enacted by MB and KK...so pls bear with my ramblings...
