Loved this comment from MB... ! While he acknowledges the reality of the TRP world.. he also hopes that the concept doesnt get compromised pretty much like all of us!

@Janvi Acharya: I completely understand your comments, however, whether like it or not, this is the business of entertainment & TRPs are thescale by which it is measured & accordingly investment return values are ascertained...So we ate "stuck" with trp. Yes KTLK caters to a limited audience & I would assume that the Channel etc would have been aware of this when they started, so I too hope the script stays close to the original concept, else I personally as an actor would feel compromised. About Aamir's 3 films you mentioned, while they seemed to cater to an urban audience, they did remarkably well at the bo & this I attribute to the well thought out screenplay & presentation etc :)

this trp business was always Latin for me coz i fail to understand how a 500 odd houses decide for a nation of billion but i have confidence that Sony will be patient...they have a winner with KTLK...and they know that...the buzz around the show is increasing day by day...we shall not worry abt trps now but enjoy the show ...before the drama starts and heartbreaks ensure😭...that house issue cannot just vanish kya???

and i too do not want the script compromised to advocate the so called trps...what is being shown now is superb and hope they follow this pattern and pace...

i m happy to be a part of the limited audience...
sad but truth...name of the game is TRP...millions of rupees r invested in tv business...every show maker, producers, channels, sponsors wants a big reward... sprint like a rabbit in the race...end result compromising the quality...
KTLK has some shortcomings , but truly can argue it's best one of current shows...
