in the original ...DHOOP KINAARE... Dr, sheena ( mallika's counterpart )
had her knife into Zoya from almost the word go 🤔 but here Mallika is compassionate and loving to Nidhi...I fear however she is going to do a drastic turnaround when there is the rude awakening for her that Ashutosh and Nidhi are in a relationship...maybe thats why they emphasise her sweetness now only to show the exact opposite later😊

very nice episode. I would prefer a gradual unfolding of the nidhi ashutosh love story. mallika is wonderfully played by rukhsar who is extremely gorgeous herself. also they should tone down the BG music, make it classy piano based. all said and done, i think the show completely rocks. hope it gets better TRPs in the weeks going forward.

Even though nothing much happened in todays episode I thoroughly enjoyed it as it was an emotional heat wrenching episode for me with all the fare wells, especially the Shahensha bit and all the actors did their bit so well with nothing out of place to make it seem fake.Must say Iwas a bit taken aback by Mallikas reaction to Nidhi leaving certainly wasn't expecting that from her or was it more of a sigh of relief for her going into what's to come ahead,or maybe I'm reading too nuch into it..who knows we'll have to wait and watch.
I really loved the cabin scene between ashu and Nidhi with Ashu asking Nidhi if she was leaving because if she was angry with him, loved the way he was trying to reassure himself that he wasn't the sole reason for her to want to leave and then him asking her if she was sure about her decision as if in a way trying to change her mind in a sublte way without showing too much force on how much he really wanted her to change her mind.Mohnish was superb in this scene with his expressions of trying to hide his distraught and dissappointment and all his little mannerisms were bang on with the scene.
Kritika was also good with the sheepish smile or more a grin that she gave when Ashu complimented her about her having the ability to be a good doctor and about childen recognising the good in a person such as herself.
I also didn't mind the window bit either when Ashu was watching her walk off as if that was probably going to be the last glimpse he catches of her and the way Nidhi looks back up at the window feeling his presence.
I do agree with you guy's on the overkill and use of the saiyaan song as its' not really neccessary in every scene as I really don't want the song to lose it's essence for me and most of us viewers.
By the way great analysis as usual Nureat, hope u don't mind me calling u that if there's anything else Ishould call u by do feel free to let me know.

I agree with u dear.😛...i mean even i didnt mind the car park scene.😛😳...whr Ashu peeps from behind the windows😳😳 and looks at a sad and departing Nidhi.😕...it s not that he is already in love with her or something.😕...its just that he finds himself connected to her in some way😳😳...he doesnt acknowledge or knows it as well😳😳 it but her decisions and infact she herself affects him😳...i loved it...😳..Nidhi looked up to look t the Hospital not just Ashutosh😳...

The scene in the children's ward was so heart touching...esp Shehenshah...aww, it's a cute bond btwn the two...Nidhi is definitely losing a lot by leaving the hospital

Awesome posts by everyone here. Nice read.

lovely episode today. I must say direction is superb and so is the acting from each and everyone. One never gets bored. They keep you hooked. Today's best part was the opening scene.. for obvious reasons. I liked the way Nidhi says ''never'' after 'no Sir' when he asks her if she was angry at him. When she says ''wo aap ka haq tha'' Ashutosh was a bit taken back and pleasantly surprise. But suddenly behaves as if he ain't affected. I thought he liked her say that word ''haq''

also he is trying to act he is cool with her leaving and not affected personally but only bothered about losing a good doctor and that if it was him who led her to leave the profession. But the truth is Mr Dr hardstone, the thought of her going away forever is what disturbs you.

When Nidhi says thanks to him that because of him she was able to make a good decision Ashutosh will make a face as if he regrets asking her to decide in the first place! 😆 Aww.

Nidhi also was happily surprised when he said ''mujhe afsoos hoga'' The soft smile she gives when he says this said so much. She was just lost in him at that moment. And when he goes on to say ''children know people well and he has noticed kids love Nidhi a lot'' She was so happy getting this complement and maybe more so because it came from Dr Ashutosh. She was on the verge of crying. And he noticed that.

And the handshake Uff. Uff. That Killed me. ☺️ Nidhi just couldn't hide her shock. true to her nature. everything about her is crystal clear. A very pure soul. When he shakes hands, she expressed it on her face that she liked that gesture of Ashu. Even when that handshake was done she will still be holding her hand in the similar position. Cute! she was totally lost in him. (so was I in my screen 😳 😆 ) And both of them looking at their hands, trying to feel the touch was adorable.

Dr R's words that ladies not only come to hospitals when they are sick but there can be other reasons too, were symbolic. He mean't exactly what?

It is clear, Nidhi is not happy leaving her profession and specially that hospital. A number of things are pulling her back from Dr Ashutosh to the kids and the nurses even. She also had tears after her encounter with Shenshah. There is that special bond with him as well, i feel.

I absolutely loved the way A looks at her from the window. I wish when she looked up, they had shown his reaction as well, from behind the curtains only, to her response. But it is when she turns and sits in the car and is leaving, that they again show him. deliberate or bad editing?

Bwa is so funny ''Beti ki azaadi'' 😆 She thinks Nidhi resigned so now is free. But I do enjoy her rant. Nidh's father knows her so well. He can make out from reading her face that she is not happy. And she didn't even try to lie then but straight away told him she isn't content. love this quality in her.

So the last part and the smile she gives say it all. Dr Nidhi has started to feel something for him. The flashback of particularly the handshake, and her trying out the earrings he touched to feel his presence very beautifully conveyed her state of mind.

Hi Anu... long time😊.. I guess post MJHT I didn't really run into you anywhere.. good to see your post..

Well I don't know how to be succinct for once coz have eclectic things to say.. to start with I haven't really seen DK.. all I remember was mom caught it and had liked the male character.. but I was too young for comprehension or for that matter to even care about tv😆.. recently she told me she is in fact liking this adaptation.. I knew the overall story and tbh I couldn't care much about the romance.. still dont.. but was curious when mom told me last night the epi reminded her of me..so caught up with today's and yesterday's epi.. haven't really seen much of the old ones...

on the outset this show has a 90s feel.. I felt like I was watching the good old shows of the late 80s and 90s before the cable tv boom.. the screenplay and direction is rather subtle but not superficial.. the poignance, depth that reflects in Dr. Ashutosh, Malika and Nidhi's dad.. especially when they are not saying anything.. are highlights.. the actors are of a different league.. Nidhi's dad for ex. I think was tenalirama- a character and show I loved.. and was so glad to see him after so long.. he brings this dimension.. like the hint of disappointment when Nidhi divulges her decision.. the contemplation.. and asking her why she is not happy with her decision..

Mohnish Behl is a library of expressions..he has multiple nuances in each response.. whether its contemplating about what she may have decided and then his response to her decision.. one could write pages on his collective expressions.. or rather breaking them down from 'the oh well'.. to 'rather sad'.. some of his feelings he does share with her candidly and I like how she is taken aback of sorts..

I don't know what Nidhi's whole deal is but I loved Dr. Malika scene where she tells her I envy you.. or for that matter when she tells MB.. I am what I am at a cost.. this little episode hit a nerve with me.. and I finally do see what mom meant.. a personal experience where I was excited at the prospect of clinical science but changed my decision after a foray.. coz it demands a lot emotionally and at some level I wasn't prepared to compromise with my spirit and soul.. so turned to research.. so I definitely related to Dr. Malika's envy.. and mentioning the COST.. my ex-boss/ friend had said something on the same lines..

no decision is easy to make especially once you are invested on whatever levels.. and so was Nidhi's.. I only hope this give her the real insight into what she wants.. or expects from herself.. I wont really comment on the romantic inclination coz like I said I care less and tbh the incessant saiyaan was annoying me.. diluting and distracting as it was.. to essence I was looking at..

Feels good to vent.. I dont know if I would continue to watch the show.. may watch it for the lack of good shows around and especially for the style of story-telling.. rather old school and endearing.. at a time where gloss and lack of honest emotions rule the roost..

Just by reading the posts, I am happy that this series is taking a different route, to the main theme from the original series. I was worried about it last week, when they ran through almost 10 episodes worth of original series in just a week!

Want to watch the series ... I will catch up by this weekend.. pakka and randomly blabber on your friday post, Anu 😆

LOL yes Sheena in the original was never really this affectionate towards Zoya...she was friendly enough in the beginning but quickly turned bitter once she saw Ahmer giving Zoya some attention😆

I'm waiting to see how they show the change in Mallika in this series since they have made her character much more softer and compassionate compared to Sheena so far...so yes maybe they've done it to show the contrast and how she may change later on. They've shown a glimpse of how her tone changes if Ashutosh is concerned...this was obvious in the OT scene when Ashu said that Nidhi should close the surgery but Mallika didn't let her do it.
