Well that's just the theme of the whole show...DK as a show in general was much more subtle and understated than KTLK is...that's just fact.

I have to agree...we are more being TOLD that he is strict than shown...although to be fair, I feel in the first scene with Nidhi, his strictness came across very clearly in the bit where he gives her a solid LOOK when she walks over closer to his desk...and then she backs off...the aura of his personality, his reputation needs to be built better.

And with Nidhi, I do buy that she somehow wanted to just fulfil her father's wish by completing her MBBS and yet not be a doctor, but she can't go around begging to be chucked out of the hospital by her senior, how random is that??? Even Zoya in the original begged to be fired by Dr. Ahmer if I recall correctly...Nidhi was just a more animated version of that in the first scene😆

well, its interesting for sure, but not realistic... hmmm, donno.. given the dismal state of Indian telly, I don't expect too much... still, I do have some hopes from this show...

I liked that bit about the flowers...and with Mallika's remarks it seems like was one of those people who did like them...so possibly Nidhi will be the one to dig out that side of him again...lovely... And also its interesting that Mallika has seen him change over the years and still continues to pursue him...I can understand now why she would be jealous of Nidhi in the future...makes sense..

Tanu I agree with ur take on today's episode. Particularly the underlined ones.

I too found KK too hyper and although I am not a die-hard fan of the original Zoya but I agree she did underplay the enthusiasm a bit, which was good.

As for Rukhsar she definitely is way better than Dr. sheena in the original.

Hope the show continues the pace and retains the viewerts' interest for a long time to come. Its beginning is definitely commendable.
