How Javed Akhtar named his daughter Zoya
Well known writer Kamlesh Pandey who has given numerous hits on television has for the first time adapted a famous Pakistani show Dhoop Kinare for his Sony tv show Kuch Toh Log Kahenge. Starring Mohnish Behl and Kritika Kamra the show will launch on 3rd October at 8 pm. During the press conference, Kamlesh revealed a secret. He said this show was very famous 25 years ago and his good friend Javed Akhtar was so impressed with the female lead in Dhoop Kinare called Dr. Zoya that he named his daughter Zoya too!! How sweet

wow... Hope this show too is a hit. The only thing I am concerned is that... The original show was 25 years old ... The concept of age diff in love might have been new and attractive then. But we have seen quite few series since then, unless they show excellent chemistry this might not dwork well... As chemistry itsel has become the sole factor for running the shows lately.

I do not think Pakistani channels were available at that time. Actually I think the majority of the Indians who watched Dhoop Kinare in India bought the cassettes of the drama from delhi. We got the cassettes from delhi and so my dad had to go all the way from Punjab to delhi to buy the Pakistani dramas cassettes. It was considered a must watch at that time.
