Okay so this thing/theory has come via via, I cannot vouch for the authenticity of it, but based in what I have seen, read and heard the basis of this sounds legit.
Theory:
Looks like Erica was not very happy with the new script early in the show. I think the change fo writers really contributed to this.
So the opening trp of s3 wasn't as grand as expected knowing the craze of krpkab. As a result crew decided to try something more ITV traditional, and the trend of teh year is love triangles and therefore mrs serpendity.
Looks like Sana (actress who plays Sanjana) came all guns blazing. She not only knew shaheer from beforw but i think knows AD or CD. Sana I think wants a big break in ITV soon and therefore also has a revamped PR team and strategy. From before her entry till now, the woman has had more articles and interview than the actual leads.
Of course the love triangle thing backfired worse than one expected (in terms of audience) but the crew also refused to do any damage control which made it worse. In between all this Erica's discontentment grew (she was also facing a lot of personal problems regarding health and stuff).
And there we go,. everyone knows what happened after that. True set drama is what I think
