Personally i felt disheartened to see dev's eyes devoid of any feelings when he looked at sona. S1 will and always remain unmatched to any series. As for s3 we need to give more time

Umm.... I do not disagree with anything you said & not sure what are you differing on?

I know S1 & S3's main storyline is different. I meant to point out the huge difference in their approach & execution.

Season 1 was crafted very finely. The characters & the story & their progression were developed pretty carefully & it gave out a feeling like you are reading an emotional novel. Apart from the Khatri track, nothing was very filmy or dramatic.

While Season 3 looks like a spicy trp drama so far. In the initial promos they gave a very different vibe than what they are presenting in the episodes now. The baby swapping story doesn't make any sense for n number of reasons but the makers are persuing it head on without a care for anything else. Because they don't know how else to create a serious ruckus between Devakshi. They had a "concept" that they'll be showing Devakshi drifting apart, but not any mature idea on how to make that happen. So... started with this baby swapping which is utter bullshit!

By "Season 1 died a painful death" I meant that in order to create episodes for this season they are rewriting a large chunk of season 1 & thus essentially destroying it. Suhana being Devakshi's daughter was an integral part of season 1. She was the bond which ultimately put Devakshi together again. Now they want to show she was not their daughter at all & everything was a chain of coincidences. Now if you watch season 1 episodes everything would look either ironic or fake. That "Socho agar main waise wali beti hoti toh?" wouldn't impact you the way it used to. Dev & Suhana's valentine's day would become meaningless, their summer camp journey wouldn't have the same value like before. Suhana finally calling Dev Papa wouldn't be a big deal anymore. Everything involving Suhana would loose its emotional significance. On top of it, Sonakshi's confidence, her pride over Suhana's upbringing, her tall claims over Suhana being her daughter & them not needing the Dixits...... everything would look so ironically foolish now. She would come across as an ignorant egoistic woman, living in her own bubble, having no touch with the reality.

Season 3 has aired only 3 episodes so far & it already contradicted Season 1 so much that it's impossible to accept both the seasons as canon. If people cannot forget season 1, accepting season 3's events would be very very difficult. To fit in the bizzare twists of season 3, the makers are manipulating & changing events from season 1. That's equivalent to killing it off.

The writers are new, but the producers are basically destroying their own creation. i.e. , if they are getting involved in the process at all.

Well i was differing on s1 being sabotaged cos of this twist they have introduced in this season. During s1, whenever an issue was not addressed before and after reunion the forum was a battlefield. But each and every issue was addressed as the story progressed ( aside turning blind to sudden whitewashing of ishwari) and every karma came back to bite to the respective characters.

Based on that the twist with which we are introduced in this season will gain clarity as the story progresses. Yes it is difficult to overlook the timeline part but instead of looking at it as the exact continuation as s1, we can try considering this season as a new story with the liberal flavor of s1

Yeah, that's what one have to do if they wish to give this season a chance. It cannot be considered as a continuation unless you are ready to accept that a large chunk of season 1 was either a farce or a long chain of coincidences, which sadly, I cannot do. Call me stubborn, foolish.... whatever😆 I am surprising myself with my stubbornness but yeah.... I just cannot accept Suhana not being Devakshi's daughter, considering the implications it would have on season 1 story. I am not liking season 3 much so far & I wouldn't risk ruining my memories of season 1 over it.🤔

Ishwari Dixit may have some serious explaining to do in that case. Who knows of Dev was exchanged with Rohit as well when he was just a baby.

ever since ishwari has said to sona that "tumhe kese pata nahi chala tum to maa ho", i want dev to be her step son so sona can get back to her and say "ap behosh thi to apke maa baba b behosh thay kya"🤣
