The palace of illusions is indeed a wonderful book on Mahabharata from Draupadi's perspective - there's another book named Jaya by Devdutt Pattnaik which is also based on the same epic. In fact, Karna wanted to marry Draupadi and Draupadi too had feelings for him but she also had a lot of pride and thus refused to accept his presence in her swayamvar - years later during the Kurukshetra battle, she wondered whether she took a wrong decision in refusing Karna

So you see, there's a deep connection between Karna and Draupadi and our Gulabo aunty certainly is making full use his f it 😆
