Mahua, Sonakshi is somebody who is shown as a person who doesn't face the "consequences of her actions" especially when they are negative. It is not to say that she doesn't do it with the best of intentions. She does everything with the best of intentions. But when the result is less than ideal is when she starts distributing the blame.
Standing there, seeing all the things Dev had done, she did feel all the love and support she got from him and that is what she said in her speech. For her, it ended there, her words, her emotions, her thoughts. But what happens when she finds that her words have been captured and viewed by millions of people including her paternal family and everyone associated with it. And also Dixit family and everyone associated with them. When she started working on the project, her only goal was the project success and she did achieve it. The speech was not something that she prepared beforehand. It was just what came from her heart at that minute. But will she be ok when it is questioned by the very same people from whom she seeks constant approval like Ishwari, Bijoy and Asha. In the precap too if you look at Sonakshi's expressions it is one of alarm. If she didn't really care about this reaction from society why isn't she calm. But Dev is calm and he is clear in his thoughts. And that is what I was trying to say.
Society can be generous as well as cruel. They can praise someone to the moon as well as condemn too. While the society will applaud Dev for what he is doing, they will censure Sonakshi saying you have turned a man like Dev Dixit to "joru ka gulaam". And people talk. No one can stop them to talk. I am saying this from personal experience. Is she ready to answer the society when they will ask her if she is happy that she has now turned Dev into "joru ka gulaam". It won't matter to them if Sonakshi asked him to be a stay at home husband or not. Nor will they just accept her word and say, yes you didn't say, he did it by himself.The truth here wouldn't matter to society. And as Chaaru said kuch toh log kahenge. Will she be ok if people refer to Dev as "henpecked husband". And that is what I am trying to convey.
