Ishwari and dev sat, talking, in her room.
'toh kul milake sab ache se ho gaya' Dev had just finished sharing his business trip with his mom. He had just returned from his one week trip. They had had dinner together, according to ishwari's promise of having dinner together with them both. All would share their day with each other. After dinner sona had excused herself, understanding that they needed time together. She needed to make an important call before she started office next week.
'chalo acha hai sab ache se ho gaya. Aur tujhe thori chutti bhi mil gayi. Dekh kinta khush lag raha hai', ishwari smiled caressing his hair and cheeks.
'ha kam ki khushi hai, par usse zyada ghar aur tere pass wapas ane ki... Aur ', dev was stopped inbetween.
'air sona ko apne pass dekhne ki, haina? ' ishwari teased.
'MA.!!.. Waise mai kya kahu, tujhe sab kuch toh pehele se hi pata chal jata hai'...he smiled with a slight blush. But now he could openly say these things to his mom.
Right at the moment sona walked in. 'MA, yeh lijiye apki dawayiya.' she handed over her medicines.
'ha layiye nutrition sahiba'...she teased. But obediently gulped them down with the water offered by sona.
Sona turned to dev. 'yeh lol tumhari coffee'. 'tum log baat kar lo. Mai tabtak bachchon ko sula deti hu.'...she smiled.
He knew sona knew him and his love for his mom and family very well. But sometimes can't she be selfish? Right now, can't she understand he needs just her??
Perhaps trying to convey this to sona he engaged sona in a captivating look. Sona softly smiled but just narrowly pullers herself away from drowning in his eyes. She broke the eyelock and looked at Ma who had began to say something.
'kyu dev? Tu kyu nahi jaraha iske sath? '
Kuch aur baat bhi hai kya? ', ishwari asked.
'nahi MA sab toh bata dia. Byas hume laga mai yaha behet ke apke sath baate karunga aur apke pair dabaunga toh apko achcha lagega. Apko nei chahiya toh mai jau... ' dev teased and was about to get up.
Ishwari laughed, and chided ' hath badmaash.'
'nahi par baate toh hogayi. Aur pair bhi daba die. Aur tu thaka hua bhi lag raha hai. Toh kya yeh thakan yuh ma ke paas behte rehne si chali jayigi?
Buddhu. Ja apne bachchon ke pass. Aur khas kar sona. Tum logo ko ek dusre ki yaad toh ayi hogi na!'...this time her smile and words were genuine.
Devakshi smiled at each other and simultaneously said, 'MA... Aap bhi na!'...all three laughed.
'kya ma? Chalo jao yaha se. Mujhe sone do. '
Dev and sona settled her in and quietly came out of the room.
Around midnight :
It had taken an hour or so to get the kids to sleep, given how exited they were to see their dad. Dev had red to them. And sona sang nursery rhymes. Both payted them to sleep about half an hour later. They kissed them good night and put of the lights.
Sons had first changed. And dev had just come out from the washroom. Keeping the towel on the chair, he walked to Sona over by the window. Engulfing her in his arms from behind.
Sona smiled and turned. Burying her nose in his chest hugged him right. Dev tightened his arms around her and pulled her closer. Both smiled. Content.
'Miss me MS Bose? ' dev said after some time. Sona pulled her head up.
'yes of course after all you are my sleeping pillow. The softest one at that! ' she said teasingly. And laughed.
'toh apne bilkul miss nahi kiya? '..he pulled her closer, nudging her nose softly. Her hands are arouod her waist and hers on his chest.
'nahi. Aur ab choro mujhe bed banana hai. Tum thak hue ho na. Chalo Mai sar daba deti hu. ' she smiled, quickly changed the topic. She had her reasons.
She included his arms from around her and went to steps. But dev spoke up stopping her.
'chalo tum nahi par maine toh kiya. Uska? ' she could sense the seriousness in his voice. He walked forward coming right behind her. Sona turned and saw herself in his eyes. Right like that she was captivated by his eyes. Dev took the opportunity to pull her closer again.
'toh?... Mai kya... ', still lost in him. Smiling softly.
'I want to kiss you sona'...he was as blunt as that.
Sona's eyes widened. Color adorned her cheeks and she lowered her lashes. To dev, here was nothing more beautiful in the world.
'dev..'...she smiled.
He knew she wasn't saying no. Only just he always had to initiate, then sona had no problem in expressing her love for him. And he loved doing ghat just.
So he did. He walked her to the nearest wall. While talking to her. 'I know sona. Mujhe pata hai tumne iss bar bhi navratri ka vrat rakha hai. Ma ke sath. Aur mai kuch nahi karunga jisse vrat tuth jae. Par kiss toh karunga. ', he had come closer saying this.
She was breathing heavily. And looked up once at him. Blushing looked down again. And smiled.
Dev, with love flowing for her, held her chin. She closed her eyes. And he tilted his head to kiss her lips.
Exchanged all they had to say to each other and more. How much they loved each other, missed each other...
And sona did respond equally.
Breaking the kiss, they smiled. And sona hugged him right. Again, a habit he knew all too well.
He gave her the time. Once she pulled up and smiled at him, she loosened his arms.
'acha chalo ab mai bed bana deti hu...'.she gave him a slight push.
But dev had one last thing to say.
He again hugged her, and this time hovered near her ears. And talked huskily, 'par miss Bose, yeh navratri tak udhar raha'
Sona smiled, blushed and moved away. Dev smiled too.
Sona made the bed in no time. Dev however rejected the L pillow and chose her lap. She lovingly massaged his head and he went into a deep sweet sleep.
