Hello all! In case you don't know me, my name is Roshni and I started watching Kuch Rang after the leap. After I became addicted, I went back to YouTube and watched from the beginning. After a point in time, I looked forward to episodes and it became a way for me to escape my life situations, which aren't particularly pleasant. I am an online viewer because I cannot afford to pay for a TV connection. I laughed, cried, became extremely angry with and against the characters, which I feel is a sign of a true connection. A few days ago, I discovered that my lifeline was going off air and that Mr. Durjoy Dutta was blaming us - the online viewers. I understand Sony TV's concern that the TRPs aren't very high. HOWEVER, there are other shows on Sony that have LOWER TRPs. That is where I have a problem. Personally, I feel that this is a case of partiality. Why couldn't the show with the lowest TRPs have gone off air? This show not only has the highest/second highest TRPs, it also has a huge online viewership and a HUGE fanbase. I also believe that if this was on another channel, the TRPs would have been much higher and would have probably been topping the TRP charts weekly. CVs and Sony TV, if you don't believe me, go check the TRPs and the views on YouTube. This isn't even including sites like Desitvbox and Desiserials. We fans were with you through your ups and downs, and treating us like this when the show is ending is NOT DONE.
I understand that the cast and crew has wrapped up shooting. However, this is my plea: please give our show the ending it deserves. It was a breath of fresh air and I am still watching old episodes daily to give myself a break from life. Also, to the CVs: PLEASE consider making this a web series, especially since a majority of the viewership is online. Even if it is finite, I will not complain. Please just show us Dev taking care of Sonakshi's pregnancy journey and close up a few loose ends (Tripathi's house burning down, Vicky being punished for hurting Dev and Sona; sorry if I missed any). This may make us fans a little bit calmer and give us more time to accept this ending. That way, people don't have a chance to blame fans if it is a web series. I have seen several web series doing really well and this is a chance for you to make the fans who have stood by you and watched an unconventional Indian TV show happy.
Thank you for reading and it is my hope that the CVs see this. Also, I am a little technologically challenged: would it be possible for someone to make a request/petition to make KRPKAB a web series?
Best wishes,
Roshni Patel
