Today I think I have a different take than the majority of the fandom. I just am bursting with these views and thoughts so thought I would pen it down!
First let's talk about the recent incident and the episode.
Dev witnesses a horrific incident sonakshi went through and his protective instincts kick in going into overdrive. That's why calling the investors, bringing the cake, gifting her the mangalsutra and sindoor (not only because of this obviously he loves her but now more because he thinks it will protect her. There is this paper thin difference)... And the lines tum meri ho and tum mera haq ho etc.
Now I am not saying these lines themselves..but the context! He has said them many times before but today instead of romantic it seemed coming from the need to prove something or reassure himself (I am not blaming or cruising him at all just trying to show the difference)
And still if you can't understand the difference go back to the scene and listen to the background score. Just today we learnt in class how without saying things music is used to give cues or as references. This would be perfect example. If you notice, just as dev says I have to give you something the note of the music changes and continues till sona openes the gift. Then throughout the sindoor and mangalsutra sequence it's a romantic KRPKAB tune because that portrayed genuine love. But as soon as it finishes and dev turnes her to say those lines once again we have that music. And plus, we have dev's expressions to go by. His eyes and smirk give away a lot. Sona's mild smile only at least told me she was also having the same thoughts maybe. So this whole scene had a literal and deeper meaning. It wasn't a romantic scene just because of the setup and dialogues but the context was very important to show the difference properly.
The sake continued next morning too. I love the CVS for bringing up this nuance that song can where or even flaunt the mangalsutra if she wants or even he wants but not because of the reason he wants her to wear it for. Again here not the act... But the context is very important. As sona said she will clarify and I am waiting for her to do so. And more so now when he knows what extent he has gone to with the tracker and that he is hiding something under his cool facade!

Now with some points I have been seen in the forum. About the incident, I just want to say that I don't find anything wrong with it. If you have read the fusions productions article...the fear of something happening was shown more properly. So yes sona was scared then, got comforted by dev and is trying to move past now. It's not that she is not effected but unfortunately women do go through such eve teasing incidents in fact may be so often that they have learnt to move on with their daily life. And moreover her seven years spent alone have also to be accounted for... If not eve teasing but some difficult situation or lowly people. Then dev was not there even to comfort her so these was no option. I am just saying this maybe one reason. Also maybe from that night only seeing this change in dev is forcing her more to keep herself like this as in ghat she is not scared.

But more importantly, what I feel is that we have seen so many female leads crying all the time or expressing their hurt so many times that we can't imagine a kind of women who are not at all like this. They are just people who not feel but express less. Who talk about their feeling less. Who don't breakdown unless something hits them badly. Remember it happened that time when dev hurt her for talking to jatin and had gone out... With his photo! Then that day in front of asha when ishwari had said about his marriage. Only that till now it hasn't happened in front of dev and I am sure she has sufficient reasons for it. And moreover this is core trait of hers that she gives a view to her feelings very less. Rarely. Tell me how many times she did it before separation. And obviously everyone is not like that. Clearly dev is the more expressive always. And I can say it real because by mother, sister and some friends are exactly like that. So J don't get the point of basing sona or the CVs for this. One monologue of her will come in the near future probably but rarely. That is fact.. Just her character. Dev you can red like an open book sona you can't. You are kept guessing through her actions.

So I am hoping all these points are rounded up in tomorrow's episode. For now that all. Waiting for tomorrow episode!
Dev and sons both will get time to say their piece.

Beautifully expressed yet again Yasho. I loved the new BGM. It evokes so many emotions. A tinge of sadness, happiness, distress and fear. Feels so apt for the situation.
