Thank you Jo. The fear of losing each other is making them both act this way. Dev knows what it is to live without Sona in the true sense. He had only darkness until now. Sona was with a part of Dev but she too knows how terrible it is to live without him. To lose each other again when they just got back together is their greatest fear. Sona is now so used to concealing her emotions that she is trying her best to make Dev feel at ease by acting as if nothing happened. But for Dev it is history repeating itself. Yesterdays scene has taken him back to his past where his mother had to carry a knife to protect herself because she had lost her husband, someone whom she belonged to, some one who would protect her. Now Dev is claiming Sona as his to the whole world telling them I am here to protect her, she belongs to me and only me.😭

I think Sona should give him a swift kick. Wife is not an object, jispe tum apna chapa laga do aur keh do ki yeh meri possession hai. In Dev's case, I agree that his intent is not this, his intent is to protect her but intent kitna bhi thik ho, uska expressio or action galat ho tho problem tho hona hi hai.
