I felt that too Meher!! But on second thoughts.. if you think back to the first few episodes post the leap, Dev was a changed man.. he was disrespectful, very casual, selfish, alcoholic etc etc.. so if you connect that behaviour to the 7 yrs, it makes sense.. of course some creative liberty has to be given to the writers (read it as illogical tracks )
