Sorry I was not getting the appropriate title for the post. I just wanted to write my POV on the current status of DevAkshi's relationship. And the name confusion is because both of them are still confused.🤢
The thing I loved about the change in dynamics is that now they are not fighting like cats and dogs (Though they call each other Jabra Doggie and Billi😆🤣), but they have started being cordial to each other. I actually wanted this to happen since a very long time and finally it's happening. Slowly the mutual understanding and respect is growing between them. And thank god it's all not rushed. It's not happening in a day.😊👏
They have been separated for 7 years now and it'll definitely take some time to form the kind of understanding they had, and the process has already started. The love is definitely there. They are aware of it too. But they just don't want to go through the similar pain they have experienced in the past and don't want the other person to go through the hurt once again.😭
It has been said that they are dying to get back together. But I have a different opinion. Yes they are still in love and it shows, whether they accept it or not. They are still in love with each other, the way they were years back. But being in love doesn't mean they'll be back together soon. Now as Sona yesterday said "Hamare beech jo bhi tha Extreme tha". They are aware, the love was extreme and when they met each other after 7 years, the anger was extreme... Everything was so damn extreme. Even if they'll think about getting back together the past incidences, the heart breaking bitter separation and the 7 long years without each other will pull them back. It is the fear of going through the same process again.😊
Now what confusion i was talking about is... DevAkshi don't have the reconcilation in mind, but they want to be around each other. Yes, now that is what they want. They want to be around each other all the time. That is giving them the happiness these days. They love it to work as a team for their child. They love to see her happy and getting everything she deserves. They are a happy family, this is exactly what they want to give their daughter. Dev is proud of the way Sona has raised Suhana. Sona is relieved that Suhana is getting her father's love and how Dev is taking care of every single thing related to Suhana. They love the fact that they have got the old friendship back. Believe it or not, but this friendship was most precious to both of them. And now they have their old best friend back in life... They have started pouring their heart out infront of each other and they do understand when the other person is sharing his/her feelings without judging the other.😊😊
It may be a little confusing to see them having a normal conversation. Eyelocks... The care for the other person... And many a times the love that is clearly visible in their actions and most of the time their eyes. But that doesn't mean they are ready to get back together. Yesterday when Sona was talking to Asha maa on how they are not getting back together. Dev didn't look upset or disheartened. Knowing the way Dev Dixit is, if there was reconciliation in his mind, the hurt would have been visible on his face the very moment. But that was not the case. His reaction was normal. And as i have mentioned above too that even if they'll think of getting back together, the bitter memories of their separation will resurface and there'll always be the fear of, what if the history repeats. It took them 7 long years to get back to each other as friends and now they'll not want to lose this friendship. They'll not want to go through those 7 years of pain one more time. As this time it'll cause damage beyond repair. The way their love was extreme, the hurt too was. And they must have gone through hell. I always wonder how these two must have spent these 7 years without each other, when they used to get restless without each other in a single day. It would have been very difficult and i want them to discuss about it in future episodes.😊
Now the slow progression has started. And I love it:
- The care (Which was always there even in the anger, but they were in denial and now they openly accepts it.)😊
- The Cordial conversations (This was the much needed relief for me. They have started talking normally. No pulling each other's hair (Virtually)... Just a normal simple conversation trying to understand each other.)😊
- The past revelation (They have started talking about the past. For now it has started with the only good things. But slowly it'll lead to discussing the pain they have gone through. And i am looking forward to it.)😊
- Trust (The trust too is developing. But maybe they have not completely started trusting each other. It'll build with time.)😊
- Understanding (Mutual understanding is growing. The way yesterday Dev understood why Sona took him to the colony. It was like the Old Dev and Sonakshi, who used to understand each other very well.)😊
- Respect (There's growing respect for each other. When the season 1 started, it was Sona who gradually after noticing Dev started respecting him. Here it is Dev who has started respecting her more and more with each passing day.)😊
- Friendship (We can figure out from past few episodes that the friendship has started developing. The way they are talking to each other about anything and everything without hesitation. Telling the other person on how they have imagined celebrating the wedding anniversary.)😊
I still feel they have a long way to go... But the start is endearing and I am looking forward to the slow and steady progression in the relationship. There's a lot more to learn for them and also there'll be hurdles to overcome.😊
I had drafted this post in the morning today. So u'll find the edits of yesterday's episode only. But after watching today's episode it is crystal clear that they are still deeply in love with each other. But the bitter past will never let them to get back together. It's going to be a slow process. As they have the fear of past repeating itself and this time they are not strong enough to go through the same again. They have Suhana in the picture too. Its not only about the two of them. But also about their daughter. They'll never want her to witness what her parents have gone through in the past. They just don't want to complicate things. But are aware that it's already complicated. They just pretend it to be fine for their daughter.
I am glad the makers are taking it slow. And this slow progression is beautiful.
