I don't get why Sona being divorced, cannot even talk to her male friend or have a cup of coffee with him without being labeled as characterless?

While Dev has had affairs with multiple women and accuses Sona of being unfaithful?? To expect faithfulness, you have to be faithful too

They are divorced for gods sake and both can do what they please without judging. Why are CVs attacking Sonas character through Dev?

Does this reflect the mentality of majority of people in India? The man can do as he pleases but the woman can't move on or even talk to another man?

Is this the progressive show we were promised? One of the CVs is a woman: Mamta Patnaik. Is she ok with being treated how Sona is getting treated? I know this is a show and they have to show drama but this gives out such a wrong message, youngsters watching this will think it's ok to treat someone this way

I just want sona to stop talking to Dev completely. She should just ignore him completely and continue with her work. But for godsake stop the jasoosi now... what else needs to happen for her to stop saying it is her family and she needs to protect it.

Hahaha...thats what I thought too at first . But the I guess the creatives are simply selling what SELLS . This kind of 'abuse wala love ' sells if the lead couple has good chemistry . A good looking hero toh will sell anything .

Yes they are chauvinist and that's the reason Sonakshi and her family was given upper hand during marriage where Dev's families rituals and traditions was overlooked , Dev stayed at his in laws house like a ghar jamai for a week and took all the abuses from his FIL , Dev was made to keep his mouth shut even after Soha's truth was hidden ,Dev never fought for his rights when he was time and again made to feel he has no rights on his daughter because some good friend Jatin was given the rights because the mother of the child decided to keep the father away from his child for her personal issues with him .

She didn't really want to keep him away. She went to his house after giving birth, but had to return because his mother did not want her in her son's life. Please do not put false accusations. She told Soha everything about Dev, rather, all good things about Dev and never made her daughter have any ill feelings for Dev. And as for Jatin he was given the right because he was like a father figure to Soha when her mother was facing difficulties.

These new writers are bigtime Chauvinists!

Dev can be a divorced womanizer and spend nights in sleazy hotels with random women 🤢
but Sona cannot be a divorced, independant working woman with a male best friend, she cannot sit in a car with her best friend, that makes her characterless. 🤪

And of course Dev throwing the words Feminist and strong independant woman as perceived insults proves CVs are bigtime Chauvinists

Doesnt matter if Mamta Patnaik is a female herself, she knows showing such chauvinism will make Dev more popular as men are supposed to be abusive and get away with characterless behavior 🤢

In India there are thousands of such female apologists who support abusive males only because they are MEN and because they are supposedly Hawt. 🥱

Psting my response from another thread:

This show is being the epitome of conservatism right now. Should there necessarily be a reason behind visiting a friend when that friend happens to be a guy? I dunno kya sochkar CVs ne ye sab likha! Such regressive thoughts and invalid arguments! Sona and Jatin did not hug or even touch each other and Dev is on hulk mode, questioning her character. Are we missing something?!😕

Ohh you didnt get the point... basically Dev wants sona apne aankhon pe patti band de ( ekdum gandhari style). What if she was not hugging , kissing or touching jatin...she was allowing jatin to see her eyes..and may be he is finding day night and sun moon and stars in her eyes just like dev does --- chcharacter less woman.. so kal se aankhon pe patti pakka
