Wow ...I must say ...I never thought of it this way...but even then I feel they should have given her good costumes at least during these festivals or ceremonies.

Ashwathi, Sona have stopped living her love story. Dev is going to bring back the colours in her and Soha's life. Did you observe the drawing of Soha. She and her mother's pictures were in black and white while her father was in colour. She added that colour picture to their boring black and white life.

Even the saree and the blouse given to her for this wedding is old fashioned where as others have trendy costumes and even blouses. They are all living the present. Sona has only her past memories and current responsibilities. She is living for others just like the grey and blue Dixit.

Understood...then its fine...now that logic is clear ...I hope after Dev's entry we will get to see some good dresses for Sonakshi ...

Dev is wearing orange T shirt in that scene when he comes to Bose house...does this mean he is going to rekindle the forgotten love...

Yaar Geena, looks like while leaving IN she also brought her Diwali saree with her. This blouse is from that outfit. Keeping aside all our color theories and analysis, I seriously feel these guys look for lead pair outfits after fixing everyone else. This is not the post leap saga, if you observe always the side characters were getting better outfits than these two. Their outfits should represent their moods that doesn't mean these two should carry uniforms or outdated clothes or recycled ones.

I think Sonakshi's costume with that old style saree draped in Bengali styis done purposely. It is to show that time has stopped for her since the day she broke up with Dev in that farm hose. At that time the only thing left with her regarding which she thought she could still trust were her being Bengali. She is trying very hard to hold on to that fact thinking that is the only way she can be someone real. She is exactly in the place where Dev was before Sonakshi came into his life. He used to live like a hermit and his clothing showed that. Now all Sonakshi thinks about is the needs and wants of her family. For her, Sonakshi is hidden and doesn't matter anymore(hope I made sense in what I am trying to say).

She is only living for others. She doesn't feel like dressing for anyone including herself. She feels old with responsibilities. She is trying very hard to hold steadfast to her roots think that is the only thing that is true.

But I think as the story progresses and she realizes how much Dev loves her and is committed to her, her clothing style will change too similar to how Dev's style changed. Dev will be the one to bring back the colors to her life.

I used to feel like that before Latha. I even wanted to apply for the post of costume designer if there is vacancy. But now I have made peace with the fact that the designer uses the costume and colour just like in stage plays. You remember Sona had a lot of pink dresses😆 A colour too girly and it fit a girl who was in love with the concept of love. Not the woman who she is now.

@ Latha, did you know that they tagged poor Nakul (Ishqbaas) to complain about the leads costumes and Mamta maam had to request the fans not to tag him🤣
