Sonakshi and Dev's helping hand

Sonakshi had pleaded for his help in the beginning and then later when he gave her the shawl she didnt say no to it ...infact she thanked him...So what made her so distant and angry that she preferred to walk in pain with out his help at the end ...that too when he offered her his helping hand twice...I kept thinking about this ...later watched the episode couple of times keeping this question in mind...then its struck me...

His statement , "Haq apno ko dhiya jhatha hai..." and her reaction...,"aur mein toh tumari apni nahi thi" with an expression that showed so much of pain..

Sonakshi as person prefers to do things by herself...I guess its a habit that was developed at a young age...now you get to see that in Soha...But for a person like Dev he doesnt understand this . For him, other than his work related activities everything was done by his mom..So whenever Sonakshi tries to do by herself , he thinks it be pride ego etc...But if you have noticed.. she takes help only from ppl she thinks has accepted her as their own...in the initial days of marriage when she couldnt withdraw money from the ATM , she had asked Dev to give her money...and she behaved just like any wife would do...

Now when he said that Haq apno ko dhiya jhatha hai...she felt how could she take help from him when he doesnt consider her to be anywhere close to him...not even as a friend...

He realised that she was hurt by his statement ...hence the sad and lost look when she didnt take his hand twice...

I understand the thing that dev had pampered sona like anything but didn't have haq to speak in his family matters like neha, Vicky nd riya's matters. But he always appreciated her efforts. But I didn't get this haq thing. What haq he didn't give to her.

Watch the scene in which they are talking his and Suhana's haq on each other...then Sonakshi says in the same way if she was treated then they would be a happy family...

Then he goes on to say Haq sirf apno ko dhi jathi hai...which means Sonakshi was never considered as his...and that's what hurt her the most ...So when he never even thought her as his...how can she take help...help toh apnos se lijathi hain na??

Agreed...She was hurt with his statement...haq apno ko diya jaata hain...and the pain in her eyes said it all..

The person who never got tired of saying you are mine almost everytime.. the same person saying she was not his own...that was shocking for her and us as well...He did not had any answer hence he said that line but saw its impact later in her eyes when she denied to take his help..

Its Dev, he don't think before saying anything...

I am eagerly waiting for their confrontation without any disturbance and this time Dev has to answer rather than saying I don't want to talk the way he did in last episode...

So true...he is the one who didn't want to share her with any one...he is the one who told her Pyar Haq detha hain and tum sirf meri ho...that very same person when he said tht sentence I just couldn't understand him...not that I ever understood him...

And the pain on her face was so evident and her reaction was like...thanks for letting me know at least now that I am no one for you ...

And I guess that is the reason , he offered her help second time...or his male ego wouldn't do that ..he knew he spoke something that he shouldn't have...in fact in the beginning he made her plead for help...and she didn't mind it too...even when he offered the shawl she said a very cordial thank you ...but at the end ...she preferred walking with pain because the pain he inflicted sometime back was even worse than what she was going thru...

As a viewer, I feel sad for both Dev and Sona, but more for Sona because all she wanted was a happy life by accepting everybody in Dev's life despite complications. She knew that Ishwari and she had an odd relationship, but still she used to give the benefit of doubt everytime and adjust hoping eventually all will be well. What she got in return was abundant love from Dev no doubt but along with it came manipulations, taunts, lies, scoldings, made to feel like outsider, second or less priority for all.
So after all this when they separated on that fateful night, she waited for Dev to take atleast one step towards her, because she could not imagine that he could let her go and not look back. All the love and promises slowly seemed lies. As a result she hardened. In Ishwari's own words "Dhoop tez thi. Mitti toh sakht honi hi thi. Isme mitti ka toh koi dosh nahi." That is sonakshi now. The playful girl got bitter lessons and now to hear "haq apno ko diya jata hai.. jo chor ke jata hai unko nahi" just opened her wounds and you can see her pain in her eyes.

You are absolutely right! It surely was a look of hurt from someone who she relates to very closely... someone who always misunderstood her every intent...
