Hello everybody! I'm back.
So I was a little free this weekend (and a lot more insomniac) so I decided to watch the old episodes of KRPKAB. That again made me think why was Sonakshi okay with all the bullshit of Dixits 🤢
Anyway, moving on! I realized that there were many tracks before the leap that needed closure and had the potential of ending into something very meaningful. Things that have been totally forgotten in the leap. Here's the list:

- Neha's arrogance and failed marriage. Did Neha realize that she never took her life seriously and did some serious damage to her and Ranveer's life? No.

- Neha's delusion that Sonakshi had an easy and lavish lifestyle at Dixit house. I really wanted Neha to realize how low Sonakshi felt in the Dixit house, how she had to compromise on her self respect every now and then and how she was trying so hard to fit in the madhouse. I wanted her to compare all this with her loving and adjusting in-laws. I also wanted her to explain this to her mother because she was one person who knew about Ishwari's cheap tactics.

- Ishwari's realization that she was wrong all along in thinking that she knew her kids. I wanted her to realize that she was not only wrong about Dev but she also failed to impart good values to Neha. She always taught her daughters that their brother's property belonged to them rather than telling them to be independent. She also had a lot pf thinking to do about the Ayaan issue. She failed in choosing the right guy for Ria, even though she claimed she was pro at this job. That could have been the first step of bursting Ishwari's bubble.

- Mamiji's tricks starting from burning down her own house to lying like a pro to insulting Sonakshi left right and center. It'd have been an amazing track where Dev/Neha/ Mamaji/Nikki would have pointed out these facts and sent Mamiji back to her abode because according to Ishwari 'Rishton mein jhoot ki jagah nahi hoti'.

- Sonakshi's realization that Ishwari suffered from some mental disability where she cannot see her son being in love with anybody else except his mother and taking a step to make it right.

- Sonakshi's realization that Dev was, is and will always be spineless and she'd have to chose him or her self respect because he won't ever take a stand for her. This could have led to heated arguments in the beginning but later she could have explained it to him calmly.

- The Khatri track? Umm..

- Mamaji's realization that he failed as a husband and a father. His realization that his sister was suffering from some insanity which needs to be treated. Honestly, Ishwari has said the highest number of creepy things in front of Mamaji, he could have sensed something wrong and could have helped her.

- Last but not the least, Dev's realization about the n number of things he did. His redemption is still awaited. I'm not going to write all those things again, you get the drill, right?

If they're not going to give a proper closure to all these tracks, then I don't understand what was the point of the leap? It makes no sense to me.

P.S.- Don't watch post marriage episodes of KRPKAB, it makes your blood boil and then compel you to make such posts at midnight 😆

Sorry Doctor, I did not read the whole post, my blood already started boiling 😡

No way, it is impossible to watch the post marriage episodes, unless you are a sadist or a non-feminist or in blind love with hot Dev or his mother!

I only watch it before marriage and that's where the good memories end. Dev was a wonderful character back then, post marriage it rather became a caricature.

There was no point of introducing the leap, because the story could have moved forward very well. Even now, if they will show that Sona and Suhana move to Dixit house, then I will have to quit watching the show altogether. I can watch anything but that toxic Dixit household with poor Sona tolerating them. Phew!

A simple possible answer for your question - TRP.

As a viewer, honestly I can't think of any reason.. With the leap, they not only killed the tracks you mentioned, they also killed all the three wonderful starting promos of KRPKAB.. Dev and Sona having chat in the garden , in the hospital and that karela juice promo.. Those promos were probably the main reason people got attracted to this show..

No one even expected the leap to come.. In fact, when the first article of leap came, I remember we were not at all believing it..

Coming to the tracks, I doubt whether they will show closure of an of these in future with one year to go..

The infertility track was actually believed to bring about a major change in story and also Dev where he would take a stand for Sona.. But instead. it resulted in leap..

Post marriage episodes is full of regressive stuff .As I have mentioned same in tia's post about scene where sonakshi was asking ishwari if she would get respect if she didn't gave them child ,while dev was standing there silently .still make my blood boil. That was lowest of anything. 🤢 This show whole sketch is so much regressive that women worth is linked with her reproductive system and being feminist is insult for them.

Hey doc, you are still looking for logic? And here they want another season of torture session for the same scapegoat. Now that's a track you can bet on being repeated.

I must say the majority of audiences must love watching women being humiliated and insulted while the so-called love of her life silently watches as a mute spectator. So they decided to repeat that same track, this time the same man participating in insulting and humiliating the lau of his life. Such a wonderful way to bond as a family. After all he already got a head start.

Otherwise how any show gets the same situation repeated multiple times? I have never seen prolonged insult and humiliation of a hero in any show. Have you? Why? Because no one wants to see a man in a pathetic and inhumane situation. Women, on the other hand, are a different ballgame.

KRPKAB has reached a point where cv's have started copying plots from movies, what worst can happen now.

Frustrating to think, once a beautiful show has now turned into a circus with absolutely a no brainer story (If at all you believe cv's have a story anymore). The extension has proven to be not beneficial for the show.

The strings left in season 1 would never find an ending, none. I am almost certain that we won't see any of the other characters back in the show, so good bye Neha, Ria, Nikki, Khatri. It has turned into a typical good bahu vs evil in-laws and stupid husband show.

Realisation is not in DNA of Ishwari asylum clan
They are self righteous people and self proclaimed saints.

As this was so called unique show, they could have exposed things on right time instead of keeping it a secret forever. That would have made them at least little different than Gopi baHu type serial.

I thought the point of leap was to show how a strong woman is able to beat all odds and rise like a phoenix ...

I still watch that someday:

Dev will 'verbally' praise her abilities to do a good job of earning money
Ishwari and Dev will realize how much better a mother she is than they had ever known.
Ishwari is borderline insane and needs medical help.
Dixits will realize that it is wrong to treat a new entrant into your house as shit.
Dixits will give some money, part of business and a new nice bungalow to tripathis and ask them to get out.

Absolutely Tia. I watched a few episodes of Jamai Raja and even though the MIL was mean to her jamai, she could never step over a certain boundary coz the FL did not tolerate any shit against her man.
Now compare that to how Ishwari, RR, Neha behaved with Sonakshi and what Dev did.

Great observations ! And there are definitely more such points needing closure, before and after the leap, like Riya... the income tax case.. etc.
A simple answer to your question is TRP and TRP alone... driven by fandoms love for Shaheer and Erica...
