Kuch Rang - Will be remembered as ?

Well I need not say that I hated today's episode thanks to the extreme bullying of the ML towards the FL. And I keep hearing the name Durjoy Dutt in all these.


So from a creative perspective, everyone would want their work to be memorable in some way or the other. Like Sarabhai and Khichdi are ever-green shows, Ekta serials are known as saas-bahu drama with coming-back-from-dead or plastic surgery stuffs, or Balika Vadhu as a revolutionary show highlighting the social issues or Bade Ache Lagte Hai which had very balanced and relatable real-life approach 😛 or Saubhagyabati Bhava as a show to highlight the domestic abuse issue.


I haven't read Durjoy's previous works but whenever someone mentions about Sadda Haq, they mention how the ML was psycho bully same as Dev and how still the FL went back to him without having his redemption etc. So that got me into thinking as when after 5 yrs or 10 yrs we will be talking about this show, what would be the main highlights except for DevIsh relationship which is obvious. In terms of love-story how would we describe it ?


Does this thought ever occur to Durjoy that 10 yrs down the lane, this show can be referenced as only for bullying and harassing the FL by the ML ? That no one might want to talk about the lead chemistry anymore at all and only story will prevail with time ? Was that the intention of the show ? To write history as an abusive show ?

well said ...this show was unique show what did the new director did with this show writer are ruining dev character beyond repair .

It's a realistic approach, PK. They are just trying to show how an educated man in India sees nothing wrong in bullying and harassing his ex wife. Infact a lot of people ask us to take it easy and see the other side of the picture, that is, to see that the motive was leg pulling and nothing else. This is the normal mindset of people in India. Why do you think half of the harassment cases go unrecorded? Because people still do not know the difference between "fun" and harassment.

I haven't watched any previous show of Durjoy Dutt and am thanking my stars this has to be my first and last show of his; but from the story point I have realised one thing Durjoy Dutt might be having very low thinking about women he believes manhandling; bullying as another form of romance; the ML needs to be smart and good looking and the FL should always be effected by his presence whenever he comes close doesn't matter if it's bullying or manhandling!!
