Kunti and Ishwari - parallel drawn

Well, I am almost a silent reader of this forum with just one post of mine some months back. Let me make a point clear that I am not on either Sona or Dev side but certainly on anti-Ishwari camp. My first post was about how a mother Ishwari was right from her side, but as the story unfolds it was clear that Ishwari is the modified version of Mahabharat Kunti. Yes, I mean it with full understanding about Kunti, the female character whom I hate to the core and can't accept any justification for her actions.

Coming to the topic, let me point out why I made such a comparison of kaliyug fictional character Ishwari with the epic dwapara yuga Kunti. First, knowingly Kunti abandoned her first child and for the rest of her life, she hides the truth to the world till it was disclosed on its own (by fate). Ishwari, so far not revealed the truth of the mysterious man Khatri (to my knowledge, its not cleared). Who Khatri was and what significance he had in her life? Why she never disclosed the matter to her benevolent brother too? 😕

Secondly, Kunti controlled the lives of her sons (including Nakula and Sahadeva). The epic was born at the time when Kunti asked Arjun to share the fruit (Draupadi) among the brothers. None was willing to go against the words of Kunti, but struggled to find a solution and ended up in drastic situation. Here, Ishwari controlled the lives of her children; the only rebel was none other than Neha. But did she really won in the battle with Ishwari, yet to know. It is the situation of the upbringing of her children which made Ishwari the so-called mother to be the goddess for them even with her flaws. The unquestionable decision making attitude of Ishwari lead to the drastic situation of her son.

Pandavas knew that Kunti was wrong at many instances but they simply followed her words and hence called as disciplined sons. Here comes our protagonist cum antagonist Dev who even after knowing the fault of Ishwari, still give respect to her and value her words (though some changes are there post-leap). He lost his lovely wife and daughter because of his mom but still treat her with respect. hmmm... (Shaheer as Dev continues as epic Arjun).😆

Third, after the infamous dice game, when pandavas and draupati went for exile they refused to accept the words of Kunti in joining them and asked her to stay back with Vidura. Dev also went against Ishwari only when her words/action harmed her. So the priority was/is mother always.

Arjun was called the highly-disciplined student, son but became a good human being to receive the geeta gyan from Lord Krishna only when he went to fight for dharma in other words to fight for his wife's dignity. Dev with whatever talent will be called a good human being only when he also fights for the dignity of his wife and shows the right place for all Dixits and mamaji family. Hope CV's will show this as the true colour of pyaar.

Hence with different projected viewpoints, each of the characters seems to be justifiable from their frame of reference except Ishwari. Her rules are different for son, daughters and daughter-in-law. If her mother-daughter rule is right, then she has no right to interfere in Sona-Soha relationship.
I wish to see Soha showing the importance of Sona in her life to Ishwari rather than Dev or Sona breaking their heads.

Note 1: Appreciation to the CV's, cast and crew for their good job.👏
Note 2: None can be flawless in real life; hence so far I am able to accept the storyline. Hope the CV does maintain the standard of the leads.

Awesome!👏

I wonder if Shaheer has got to do something with this.😆

First, it was Navya. There he had a very strict family (only his mom was understanding but was a doormat to her in-laws) and the girl's family was chilled out.
In mahabaratha, his role was Arjun and you know his characterization in that.
KRPKAB main it is some annoyingly unconditional and unpalatable love that Dev and Ishwari share for each other and the rest is history.
