In my opinion Ishwari is a failure as a mother and woman . There were not a single incidence she showed empathy to Sonakshi .She was never bothered that what will be impact of infertility news to sonakshi ,what will be the effect of prenup on sonakshi ,never anxious that how will Sonakshi and family face all the challenges altogether ,they lost shelter , Sonakshi lost love and she was so selfish while denying access to Sonakshi when she came back .
Compassion ,kindness ,empathy are all those characteristics which make woman unique but ishwari lacks all these attributes . IMO her love for Dev is selfish .She never allowed him to live his life as per his terms. He become a mother pleaser because ,throughout his life, his mother reminded him about the sacrifice she made ,the expectations she have on him and whenever he ignored it ,immediately Ishwari had emotionally blackmailed him either by gobbling pills or by ignoring her health .
And as she said in last episode he has inherited all these character .When Sonakshi left him he used the same weapon ie ,emotional blackmailing ,and when he realized that his mother somehow got his signature in prenup instead of approaching the truth and handling the issue wisely he used the short cut and faced Sonakshi with the effect of alcohol .Like his mother he tend to belittle the mistakes done by his own family but never fails to accuse and bash Sonakshi . Last but not the least the core character of Ishwari when he realized that he has a daughter his only focus was on her ,he was not concerned that how did Sonakshi live in the initial years after the separation with out home ,without money ,how did she handled pregnancy expenses and the expenses of newborn baby .Forget about concern he didn't even felt the need to apologize to Sonakshi for all the accusation .
Few members were curious that why didn't Sonakshi called him when she know the character of Ishwari . I was curious that how could a man who claimed to loved Sonakshi never tried to know whether she is fine,whether she found a shelter ,job ? And don't tell me that it was impossible to reach her as she left the city , because we are talking about one of the influential man in Delhi . The same man who managed to get the details of Sonakshi's relationship with Jatin and Jatins biodata within few hours ,he just want a reassurance that Sonakshi is suffering too and they call it love.
