Ok fine she couldn't get through by calling. But what about email? In this day and age to try to pretend that Sonakshi couldn't get through to Dev is either the CVs living in la la land or they want us to feel that Sonakshi didn't try hard enough. Given that Sonakshi started out the conversation with the idea that Soha only belonged to her, her fear of Dev taking Soha away, and not revealing to Dev about Soha when he could've died for me attests to the latter.

why are we fighting here. if sona is at fault for not using a right means to get in touch with dev after more than a year, then why do we forget to question what were the efforts from his side within this 1 year.
so basically it turns out that the harsh words that they hurled at each other where not out of the random but because of their frustration with each other. they are soo fixed on the last day and forgot everything about what they shared previously.

was it that they were so shattered that they could never get hold of the pieces?

well what ever is said and done, forever Dev can never say anything against his mom. woh kehta to bhi kya kehta.

Sonakshi didn't call/mail him because of her ego I hope this reply will satisfy all those who are trying to find fault in her . But even if that is the reason it is absolutely fine ,little bit ego is good and that makes an human being different from God . She must have felt that why should I insult myself by trying to contact him through phone or mail when he or his relatives denied permission to meet him.

We have to think of this from Sona's perspective. When she went to meet Dev face to face with Soha that required a lot of courage on her end. Getting turned around from the doorstep is really painful and the need to make a phone call or text is a hard decision to make after being rejected on face.

@bold... because Sona knew they had a child together whereas Dev did not.

Dev reaching out to Sona would be an act to reconcile them as a couple. That is something he can choose or choose not to do. There is no obligation to do it. Same with Sonakshi doing something to reconcile them as a couple. There is no expectation for her to do that either.

But she went there not as a wife but as a mother to deliver on her child's rights. That is something she had a responsibility to do. Her attempt would've been more believable if she didn't continue to hide the child after returning to town and particularly after Dev almost dying. But as she told Jatin she was afraid of losing Soha. Its a very reasonable fear and understandable but she is still accountable for allowing that fear to dictate her. I really liked Dev today saying to Ishwari that even if he has keep himself away for his child's happiness he would. That to me is a better example of a parent. Because a parent doesn't own a child... they are the guardian for the child's well being. The fact that Soha is so disturbed by breaking a promise to her mother suggests a degree of co-dependenacy within Sona and Soha's relationship that isn't fair to Soha.

The most important thing Dev needed to say to Ishwari was about protecting Soha's well being even at the expense of themselves. And he said that.

having a child knowing very well that the husband has given up the child even before it was born , don't you think any woman will have two thoughts about informing the father? ( let's not forget prenup here, though dev might have signed it unknowingly, still legally he is accountable )
she had a responsibility, true, that's why she wanted to face him in front of his entire family. Its not only dev who needs to accept the child but also the family. always remember sona was his life, but none in the family accepted her. that was the main reason for their breakup. what if the family is not willing to accept soha?

and one more thing, ishwari had full control on dev, there is no rule that he might not have moved on,remarried or his new wife could be expecting . there is no way sona could know the state of Dev, and also there is no rule that he would be dying to accept their child with open arms.

when a couple break and suddenly the spouse turns up at his house, the least that could be done was atleast find out why she was there. here no one bothered to find out why she was there in the first place. well keeping aside all the pity for dev, if we remember the layout of the house, ishwari /dev could have peeked from the window to see isn't it?

kisi ek character ko doshi tehrana bahut aasan haim, lekin apne " kuch nahi karna " ko justify karna mushkil hota hain. right now Dev is that state. he is not in a position to be angry with sona, usne apni taraf se koshish ki hain, dev ko mauka mila tha, lekin uske maa ne uske peet piche woh mauka cheen liya. zindagi mein mauke baar baar nahi milte.

until he knew the truth he was hell bent upon taking away the child, phir ab kyu mukhar gaya? he might as well say right, tum to mujhe apni beti se 6 saal phele hi milane wali thi na, toh ab mein use miloon toh kya galath hain.

once he came to know the truth, he started to realize the duplicity within his family. kise ne bhi use yeh share nahi kiya tha ki sonakshi usse milne ayi thi. infact he was living a life of hell for 7 yrs, believing that " sona ne peeche mudh kar nahi dekhi" his mother had hid the visit from him, on top of it she had the audacity to tell a blatant lie that she was getting married, do you think dev will now trust his family to be responsible towards his daughter? can't he see what kind of obsessive environment he is going to push his daughter into? that's why his decision to keep away from the child.

The only thing that hit him the hardest is he will become instrumental in snatching away the "childhood of Soha" that is the last thing on earth he will ever wish for any kid.!!!
