I guess the reason Dev shares a good bond with Elena is that elena kept up her promise (Sona did not according to him)
Circumstances for Sona were different and she also cared for her family . Elena cared for herself. She is a good person otherwise but thinks mainly about herself and her life
Yea this could be one of few reasons!
He understands the pain of staying away from their loved ones, just as him and sona! Maybe that's why he wants to help, even though he has some selfish motive behind it for this situation
