After watching the episode, I felt...why are we breaking our heads and analysing these characters! New characters with slight variations are coming and going but the main leads - the three of them - remain the same. Their past, their anger, their pain, their so-called-LOVE - they haven't learnt a thing for them. Seven years is such a long time. Yet I don't see any change in any of them. What more is needed for them to stop and bloody THINK with their HEADS instead of assorted other body parts??

I just feel... nothing. Same old crap. Only difference is they dress differently now.

Am I the only one who kind of liked Jatin-Sona bonding. 😆 Romantic relationships are often over-rated. Sometimes just pure friendship liberates one in ways that romantic relationships can never. Jatin must have been one hell of a friend of a support for Sona for the child like antics of hers (in spite of all that she has been through) comes forth only before him. I often wonder had Sonakshi not fallen in love with Dev, how wonderful and fulfilling a life she would have had with Ritwick. Even now, moving on with Jatin she can actually allow herself to experience what it's like to be showered with the kind of love that brings with it trust, respect and the commitment to stand by and make a relationship work. But, I guess Sonakshi is so scarred by her experience with love that I doubt she would even want to tread that path with another man. But but, the makers somehow have to get the lead together by the end, and they will reach it in their twisted ways!

Tia, regarding one of your comments on how Dev and Sonakshi bring out the worst in each other, I have to disagree. I guess their relationship actually had that essence that comes only by baring one' soul to the other and being able to be one' true self before the other. It's hard, real hard, to find such relationships in life and these two had found that in each other. Had their world been just limited to themselves, they would have experienced heaven down on earth. The moment their families came into the picture, they brought out the worst in each other. Now who has to be blamed for this? The families or these two?

Yes. I agree. Natasha and Ritwik are understandable. Jatin is a friend. But the fact that Dev needed him to feel that he still cares for Sonakshi means that even if by grace of God, they get back together again, it won't still solve the issue of them realising each other's importance on their own.

How is that going to work in the long run?

The new girl can't make Sonakshi jealous. She already saw that Dev has moved on when she saw him entering a hotel room with Shruti. She understood it already. So what purpose will this new girl serve other than Dev trying to make Sonakshi jealous and failing miserably?

If anything, it will push Sonakshi farther away. She will be resigned to the fact that now Dev and her are officially over.

CVs can try to create jealousy track forcefully, but that won't go with the character who didn't even blink an eye despite watching the hero entering hotel room with another woman. Whether he remarries or not, how is it going to make a difference in her life?

From whatever I've seen of the show and today's episode, Dev obviously has a problem of Jekyll & Hyde. I think his childhood has messed him up in more ways than one. He must have lived a very bitter kind of life and has suppressed his emotions to such an extreme they come out in bursts like these. All that rage that has built up at the world, at life is still inside him. He lives and has lived within so many restraints. I think he has pretty much acted his whole life up. Whenever he loses control of something he becomes desperate and volatile, almost as if he's been transported back into his past with the dark, old bitter days.

He obviously doesn't need Sonakshi. Or new lead or Ishwari or Soha.

What he desperately needs is help.

Get checked Dev. 😆 These are serious issues. He has a habit of playing God. The need to control the outcomes of his life and eliminate anything that threatens to create a panic. He obviously doesn't care about the ripples beneath the surface.

That father-daughter moment was so adorable though. I hate how you can feel warmth in one moment and revulsion in the next but this show seems to excel in dishing that or something.😆

DevHana scene was completely adorable.

But apart from that scene I don't have anything to say about Dev or the rest of the characters.

Bijoy was getting hyperactive as if his long lost mele main bichda hua beta has come home.

Dev and Sonakshi's love was like that.

They had love for each other. That's it. They had love for each other and nothing else.

Now let's look at their history. Their love always needed crutches to move and external support to survive. It was never able to stand and face the world on its own. The moment the world creeped in, it crumbled like potato chips.

Where is the strength? Where is the courage?

No wonder they needed different people to remind them of their love. Even I kept on forgetting that they ever loved each other.

First Natasha, then Ritwik, then Jatin, now whoever... They never could realise each other's importance on their own. How could their relationship survive?

So I know you all are upset with this new girl. But I am not that upset. Because despite Lavanya sketching the perfectly logical track, I find it hard to believe that they can survive on their own... They can't continue to rely on different people to keep on reminding them what is more important.

And that is the saddest and most pathetic face of love.

EPISODE:

Episode starts with Sonakshi still fuming over Dev. But Jatin diverts her anger and makes her smile.

On the other hand Dev is sulking at work after losing chance to enjoy Sonakshi's bootiful face when angry for extended duration...

His employee asks who was that guy. Dev says his name is Jatin and asks his employee to find out everything about him...

Me (chewing popcorn): Okay, so which employee dares to go to his boss and ask him who was with his ex-wife/current enemy? Seriously?

And Dev bhaiya, you are so back on your usual tricks. Why so curious? If you had given a damn seven years ago whether Sonakshi was still on the street with her entire family or had found a place to stay, you would have known about your daughter. Lekin aap ko to uski yaad tabhi aati hain jab woh khud aapke saamne ho.

At Bose's home, Bijoy is hyper on Jatin. He comes there and he is having a grand reunion. Bijoy asks Asha to talk to Sonakshi about Jatin. Asha tells Bijoy not to force anything on Sonakshi. Bijoy tells Asha that he wants Sonakshi to be happy. So she should support him.

Me: Bijoy, Bijoy, Bijoy... I think you are as scared of Dev Dixit as Ishwari is of Sonakshi. But have you thought why? May be you are not so sure of Sonakshi as you should be? In that case, shouldn't that a conversation you need to have with your daughter? Thankfully, Asha is keeping you on track.

Bijoy, thoda sugar kam khaya karo. Itna hyper mujhe bhi sugar crush de raha hain. Lagta hain ki agar Sonakshi ne mana kar diya, aap Saurabh ki shaadi kar doge Jatin ke saath. I hate to say this. But today Bijoy did sound like Ishwari. I swear to God, if you turn paranoid, I will Asha and Dida to give you a joint smack.

At Dixit house, Ishwari wants Dev to move on. Mamaji consoles her.

Dev meets Golu and Golu shows Soha's assignment. Dev thinks it's cute and wants to meet her. Golu gets jealous.

Me: Humm... Is it an indication of how Golu will feel when his idol has different priorities than exclusively him?

Jatin tells Sonakshi that she should inform Dev about Soha. Saurabh agrees with Jatin and tells her that she should inform Dev before he finds out from elsewhere. Sonakshi says that she gave Soha a choice and shares her insecurity that Dev might snatch Soha from her.

Jatin tells her that it won't happen. So don't worry.

Me: Sonakshi, Jatin and Saurabh are both right. You have to do two things. 1. Understand that your daughter is like Dev. She will hide her emotions to keep you happy. So you will have to probe her. 2. Tell Dev about Soha before he brings the entire judiciary system on you. Besides you have the pre-nup as back up if needs arises.

Dev goes to school to submit the assignment and overhears Soha reciting her assignment about her dad.

She says that there was a girl who never met her dad or spend time with him. But she was so brave that she came to her father's big city so that she could search for her father. She prayed to God that she finds her dad because she knew that God will listen to her and she will find her dad.

Dev smiles at Suhana. Golu sees Dev and his attention on Suhana. He tries to catch his attention. But Dev can't take his eyes off Suhana.

Soha continues her story. She says one day she met her dad and her father was very happy to meet her. She said to her dad that her father is very lucky that she is not angry at him. She then uses their famous like, "Socho agar main aisiwali beti hoti to?"

Dev gets nostalgic with that line.

Soha continues her story but then she gets sad.

Me: Oh sweetheart. You should have recited this assignment to your mother. You are just like your dad to keep your feelings to yourself. But your mother is not like your grandmother. She always puts your need first regardless of her feelings. So go ahead, darling. Talk to your mother. If anyone can understand you, she will.

The jerk of a class teacher asks Soha why she stopped.

Me: You are a grade A jerk, you know that lady? You very well knew that Soha didn't have a father. You are the one who called Sonakshi to get the dirt on her situation and still gave them an assignment on dad and wondering why the child got sad and stopped her story? Why no one fired you yet?

Anyhoo, Soha looks up and sees Dev. He smiles at her. So Soha slowly smiles at him. He makes a sign of courage/strength and victory and Soha makes the sign back. (Me: Awww...). Golu gets jealous to see Dev smiling at Soha.

The flirty class teacher sees Dev and greets him. But Dev gets a note from the PI that he got information on Jatin. So he leaves.

Me: Bhaiya has priorities. Badi Sona pe nazar rakhhe ki choti Sona ke upar research kare. For now, badi Sona wins.

Anyways, Soha finishes the story with that her father promises her that he will never leave her. Dev tells her bye and goes away.

In the meanwhile, Golu got upset that his Bigcha didn't even look at him after seeing Soha. So he asks his friends to make fun of Soha.

Me: Yup. I thought so. Golu had exclusive attention from Dev. He won't be able to share so easily.

Ishwari at Dixit house is mourning about Dev and thinking after her who will care for Dev. She wants Dev to remarry. Mamaji asks her to not get upset.

Me: Haila!!! Yeh kya palti maari, maata? Yeh saat saal pehle nehin socha tha, apni chaal chalne se pehle ki aap agar narak sidhar gayee apke nikamme bete ka kya hoga? Tab to usse apne pallu mein baandh ke rakhna chahti thi?

She is thinking of her unborn (but born) grandchildren and she blames Sonakshi for leaving Dev, breaking up her family and destroying her dream of grandkids. Mamaji consoles her.

Me: Aaahhh... There you go. I was thinking that where did Ishwari got the heart to suggest remarriage for Dev. It was yet again, not for Dev's happiness, but to get grand kids. Priorities, guys. This lady still has her priorities in the same place - what she wants.

Really Ishwari, I feel for you. Your human incubator walked out without delivering your grandkids. How dare she? She should have stayed put and keep popping out babies for you. After all, that's why people keep brood mare, no? Ab shaadi mein itna kharcha kiya tha. Kuch to faida honi chahiye.

Dev's investigator comes up with devastating news. No, not about Soha. It's even worse.

Jatin is Jatin Roy. He was married once. His wife has passed away. He lives in Kolkata and invests in small businesses (which means he is Venture Capitalist) and all the businesses he invested became successful. He was brilliant in school, gold medalist in college.

But Dev is not interested in professional information. He wants his personal information.

Investigator said that he has rejected all proposals even though he wants to remarry. He doesn't have current girlfriend but today he is having lunch with Sonakshi.

Dev is tensed and worried.

Me: Ai ai ya... Lag gayee aag, nikal gaya dhuan... That's as devastating news for you Dev as the election of Donald Trump for rest of the world. I feel for you. I mean how does all these eligible bachelors crop up around your Suryamukhi? Obviously, you will be dukhi.

But yeh kaisa investigator hain bey? Kabhi bhi poora khabar nehin laata. Ritwik be time bhi Mummy ka contribution omit kar diya tha. Ab bhi Jatin's bond with Bose family including Soha omit kar diya. Aap investigator ki aadha paisa dete ho kya, bhaiya?

But one thing for sure, I am happy today that Jatin's profession is Venture Capitalist. So he didn't invest in Sonashi's company as help, but because it made sound business decision. Thanks Lavanya and Doc, for helping me realize it.

Back at Dixit house, Ishwari's lamenting is going on how Dev becomes the previous Dev when Golu is with him. He loves kids and how happy he was when Golu was born. Mamaji is listening.

Me: God, Mamaji has so much patience. I'd have strangled this lady by now. If there was a competition on whining, she would have been Gold medalist. As my mother-in-law says, "Will you stop whining or should I serve cheese with your whine (wine)?"

Maataji wants her previous slave back. So mission Dev's baby is to be reloaded.

Ishwari thought of Dev and wanted to see him right away. Mamaji couldn't stop her. She rushes to Dev's office.

Me: Oh dear God. There goes Haanikarak maata to cause more trouble. Arrey isse koi mental hospital mein kyun nehin bhejta...

Here Dev is watching video footage of Sonakshi and Jatin having lunch. Jatin has booked the entire restaurant. Sonakshi is impressed. Jatin also made sure all food are healthy as Sonakshi likes them. Sonakshi gives him bonus points.

Dev thinks how he booked the entire restaurant during Ritwik and Sonakshi's date and gets lovely frog green with envy. He breaks his laptop and screams.

Me: Oh dear!!! Dev bhaiya, how creepy is that? You tell me.

Besides, why are you so angry? Your romantic gestures never appeared during your short-lived marriage. You never took Sonakshi out on a date that was not arranged by your mummy. You never booked a full restaurant or reserved a resort because you wanted to spend time with her. Sorry, decorating room and dancing in there, doesn't count since your room was pretty much walk-in closet. Why are you angry that someone else is treating her how her husband should have treated her?

Kamaal hain naa, agar Sonakshi ke liye empty restaurant book hoti hain, to kabhi bhi aapse aur aapke liye nehin hoti.

Precap: Dev continues his demolition derby. Sonakshi is working with Jatin in her office when she hears the sound of breaking. She goes to investigate and hears the sound from Dev's room. She finds the door is locked from inside. Ishwari also comes there. They shout Dev's name together. He opens the door and is shocked to see the two of them together.

Me: Haan bhaiya... That's your worst nightmare. It's our worst nightmare too to see Issue maata besides Sonakshi... I feel for you.
