Oh I believe in equality too. Not just father or mother of a boy or girl child. Their behaviour should be compared on the same scale. But comparing apples with oranges is not a true measure of equality.

I agree with your analogy. But for different reasons. Bijoy Bose "reacted", he didn't proactively destroyed his daughter's marriage. Reaction requires an action which came from Dixits every time.

This was my response in that post.

There's absolutely no comparison between Bijoy and Ishwari. He is rude, abrupt and eccentric. But he is not a hypocrite who pretend to be goody two shoes in front of his daughter and play dirty games to ruin her marriage behind her back.

He never treated Saurabh and Dev differently. He never Dev feel like an outsider the one time he visited Sona's family for one night. Dev made himself an outsider to please his mother. Otherwise that family embraced him like their own.

Ishwari kept on treating Sonakshi like outsider from day 1. No matter how much she tried, she was treated like a burden they were tolerating for Dev.

She was uncomfortable there every day. Dev didn't notice.

Dev was never uncomfortable at Bose's place because when Bijoy kicked them out, he threw both his daughter and son-in-law out.

On the other hand, Ishwari and Dev were celebrating his birthday at midnight with his family while his wife was waiting alone in the hotel without even a transportation in the same city where previously their joint life was at risk.

I will take a concerned, loving and protective father over an uncaring, selfish father who doesn't give a damn about their daughter's pain because they are more concerned with what will society think.

Bijoy made mistakes. But every single time when he was called on it, he apologized. And the way he treated his mother and wife? He is also an ideal husband. Even today, he never disrespects his wife when she points out his mistakes. But always respectfully willing to listen.

Ishwari is still blaming Sonakshi for everything and yet to apologise for everything she put Sonakshi through.

If I had told you that imagine Bijoy is played by Shaheer, Asha is played by Erica and Sonakshi is Soha, a lot of people will change their mind at Bijoy's suitability as a father. Suddenly he will seem like the ideal father even if he slaps the guy who hurt his daughter, not once but twice and never kept any of his promises.

In the most recent incident, Ishwari got upset when Dev saved Sonakshi. Bijoy didn't get upset when Sonakshi saved Dev because he knows the difference between right or wrong.

As long as Dixits kept Sonakshi happy, Bijoy Bose was nice to them. When they didn't, yes, he was their worst nightmare which every daughter's father or mother should be.

The easiest solution for them would have been a simple equation. Keep his daughter happy to see the warm Bijoy Bose. The only time they saw the "Mummy"'s revenge was when they dared to hurt his own. And I applaud him for that.

For me Bijoy was no less than Ishwari. Like Ishwari showed double standards for Sona, Bijoy showed double standards for Dev. Bejoy over-reacted in every situation exactly like Ishwari. Just because he was father of female, his every action cannot be justified. I believe in equality. Like Ishwari should not behaved in wrong way for her raja beta, even bejoy should not have behaved in wrong way for her rani beti.
