I would love to have Sona to be the one to communicate to Dev about the new life in their lives...
At School...
Dev: Golu.. See I am here on time to pick you up at school 😃
Golu: Bigcha.. You are the best...👏
Dev: Ok.. Are you ready?😎
Golu is looking around searching something🤓
Dev: Busy bee? What's up?😕
Golu: Shhh.. That stupid girl must be around waiting to play her pranks🤓
Dev: Who?😕
Golu: There.. There she is...🤔
Soha: Golluuu.. I got you...😆😉
Soha jumped in front of Golu.. Suddenly turned around, threw hand full of something on Dev.. Dev was taken by shock and calmed down seeing the pencil shavings all over him.. Dev looked at Soha who was jumping in laughter...😃
Dev: Ohhh. What's this? And who is this sweet little girl... 😉
Soha: This is welcome shower for a special person... Look how they look like little flowers on you...
Soha picked one pencil shaving from Dev's shirt and showed him closer. And Dev couldn't help smiling at her chirpy reply for her harmless act.😃
Soha: Mission accomplished.. 👏
Turning to Golu, Soha said
Soha: Look Golu.. I won the bet.. 🥳
Golu: Bigcha.. We lost the bet...
Dev: Arrey.. What's happening? Can someone tell me too?😕
Soha and Golu narrated a lengthy story about their bet, alternatively seeking the attention from Dev by pulling his face this side and that side😆..
To summarize, Golu was talking high of his bigcha that anyone will be trapped by his charm and Soha proclaimed that she can trap him in her charm...
And yes, Dev smiled at Soha's silly prank.😳
Soha: Look how your Bigcha has fallen for my charm...
Golu: Come on bigcha.. How can you smile at her act? Isn't she silly and aren't you angry at her?
Dev: Uffooo Junior.. Look at her.. How sweetly she has welcomed me...😳
Dev took Golu and seated him on his bike. And then patted on Soha's cheek and said
Dev: Yes little girl.. I've fallen for your charm.. 😉
Soha: It's Ms. Suhana Bose 😃
Dev paused in his position and looked at her intently
Golu: Bigcha.. Come let's go.. I'm hungry.. Let's go let's go..😆
As Golu hurried Dev started his bike leaving a long glance at Soha. Soha too was looking at the duo for some time before walking away😊
At Bose house
Sona: Ms. Bose, I want to talk to you 😃
Soha: Yes Dr. Bose even I want to talk to you 😃
Sona: Ok you go first 😃
Soha: It's ok ladies first.. 😃
Sona: What about you, lady? 😉
Soha: Little lady will follow you, Ma'm 😉
Sona: 😃Ok.. Here it is.. I ask you again dear. Do you want to meet your father? Do you intend to know about him?😊

At Dev's office
Dev's secretary: Sir, there was a call from Dr. Sonakshi Bose asking for an appointment with you😊
Dev: What? Forget it. I'm not meeting any doctors in my business.😡
Secretary: But she said it's very important😕
Dev: May be it's for her. Not necessarily for me😡
Secretary: She also said that it's personal😕
Dev: Personal?😕
Secretary: 🤔
Dev: Ok.. Cancel all my appointments for the evening and schedule one with Dr. Bose
Secretary: She requested to have the meeting in her house 😕
Dev: What? Never mind.. Go ahead, schedule it

At 5 pm, Dev walks into Boses' house. It's silence and the under construction state said that nobody is living in there at the moment. He heard footsteps behind and turned around to see Sonakshi walking towards him.
Sona: Thanks for coming Dev. Please sit down. Let's talk😊
Dev: I've not much time to sit. Please finish your talk soon😡
Sona sat in one of the two chairs exclusively kept for their meeting. Dev didn't sit
Sona: In that case we can postpone the meeting. I don't think I can do the talking in such a hurry🤓
Sona was about to get up and Dev looked at her determined stance and appeared that she will really postpone the meeting. Dev sat down making Sona settle down as well. 😆
Dev: Anyway I've given the appointment so why drag for another day. Let's finish it today😡
Sona: Ok.. Do you want something to drink?😊
Dev: Enough of all these formalities Sonakshi 😡
Sona: No Dev not a formality. You may really need it. That is if you are the Dev that I know of 🤓
Dev smirks and says sarcastically
Dev: The Dev that you know of? 😵
He wanted to say something more but held back and waited quietly for her to proceed. Sona anyway signed her maid for some juice and water. She waited till it arrived. Dev was waiting impatiently but didn't say anything
Sona: Dev, it's something very important that I need to share with you 🤓
Dev: Hmmm
Sona: In fact I should have shared it with you earlier but I didn't know when would have been the right time
Dev: 🤓
Sona: Even now I am not sure whether it's right. I never thought it would be this difficult for me
Dev: Come on Sonakshi.. Get to the point.. I can't stay here forever..
He stood up and continued his cribbing and Sona abruptly said
Sona: You have a daughter
Dev just stopped his mouth left open midway through his blabbering
Dev: Whaa.. What?😲
Sona: Yes, you heard it right. You are the father of my daughter. She's 6 now🤓
Dev: I am a father? I have a daughter? Our daughter?
Dev sat down feeling weak and took the glass of water to quench the dryness in his throat. He glanced at Sona who was silently observing him. He couldn't read anything from her blank face
Sona: I know it's not easy for you 🤓
Dev: You know? Really???!! Do you even have any idea about how I am feeling now?🤔
Sona: Calm down Dev..🤓
Dev: Calm down?! Can you?!🤔
Sona: Ok.. I'm not saying anything more. I will leave you alone for a while.. We can talk again just in case you have any questions.
Sona walked away from him and vanished into the house.
Dev was left all by himself. To have the news settle inside him. To put his thoughts straight or to say, be confused about everything around his fatherhood and his daughter.. And in case he has any emotions left for his ex-wife who is the mother of his child. He couldn't believe whatever Sona said but he was sure that whatever she said was the truth. Truth of their life about a living truth of their relationship.
Flashbacks of his and Sonakshi's beautiful moments together flashed in front of his eyes. Slowly a smile spread on his face remembering their conversation about tiny Aubodhro and little Sonakshi...
Then he thought through the not so good moments about Sona's infertility issue and the pressure everyone, including himself, put her through. 🥺
His introspection started through in his silence..
All thanks to his inability to take a neutral stand on anything based on people's real intentions beyond his relationship status with them, that he's here all alone blaming everyone around. If only he had acknowledged his and his mother's shortcomings to take help from Sonakshi to resolve it mutually without running for quick fixes based on momentary convenience.
He realized that the major credit goes to his lack of acknowledgement of his suffocation under his mother's hold, assuming that that's where his happiness lies. Thus pulling down Sonakshi also with him into the suffering, making Sona forget her role of the warrior princess who is expected to save her prince charming from his distress. He was playing a safe game of being in a fix between the women but in truth there was nothing of that sort. It was only a cover he chose for his inner self to mask his ineptitude in handling his newfound emotions in love. And he didn't want to be the bad guy bringing in changes to existing relationships to accommodate new relationships.🥱
But now he is a different man. And in the past seven years he was surprised to see a phenomenal change in him showing that he had always had in him the capacity to keep his emotions in bay and take control of his own life. He has started enjoying the sole ownership of his decisions that affects him and also learnt to have the shared responsibility for the mutual decisions that involved the others. And it is the same feeling now. He has a shared responsibility and some mutual decisions to be made.👏👍🏼
With that thought in his mind, slowly he walked towards the room where Sonakshi walked into. He knocked on the door lightly and waited. As there was no response he entered the room.
The scene that he saw there was so mesmerizing that he stared at it without moving forward. Sona was lying down next to a little girl, patting on the sleeping beauty. The girl embracing her mother and the mother cuddling her baby.
He glanced through a dozed off Sona and smiled. Then he moved his eyes to his girl, his daughter, their daughter.. Slowly the recognition hit him. He remembered the girl with Golu. He recollected the name easily as they had just met the previous day at school. Suhana Bose!😳 His daughter.. Their daughter...
Dev (whispers): Suhana!!!
Sona woke up hearing something around. She saw Dev standing there. She got up moving Soha's little arms away from her without disturbing her sleep.
Dev didn't move from his place and he didn't take his eyes off from the little girl sleeping peacefully. Sona understandingly walked out of the room leaving the father to drink in the moment of seeing his daughter for the first time.😳
Dev sat down next to his daughter. He kept looking at her. And gently took her little fingers into his palm.. As if the girl was just born for him and he's holding on to it while it's sleeping comfortably in its swaddled form. Tears of joy flew through and his heart was content with an unknown warmth.
Dev: Yes, Ms. Suhana Bose.. Your father has fallen for your charm..😳
Moral of the story: Be the hero of your own story. Not the victim... 😉
