I second your thoughts that story feels stagnant. I will not like to see them patch up only for that child and the two leads are so full of themselves and if they hv buried their love for each other they have buried it deep down that as audience I can't feel that warmth that I used to. I don't see that craving in myself for them coming together like after the last break up.
