I finally caught up with the post leap episodes. A lot of things ran through my mind but let's come to the point. One thing which has been constant through all the post leap episodes is Sonakshi's Love.
Her love for Dev. She was, she is and will probably always be truly, madly and irrevocably in love with Dev. He might be the wrong person to fall in love with, he definitely doesn't deserve a woman like Sonakshi, he has let her down in every aspect of their relationship but she still loves him. She loves him inspite of all his shortcomings, inspite of all his flaws. This is love.
She left him for her self respect, it was one of the greatest decision she took but she never stopped loving him. She remembers him almost every minute. Good or bad, his memories are etched into her brain. This is love.
She blamed him for not trying to bridge the gap between his mother and her, she had a valid point. But she never blamed him for anything in front of their daughter. She allowed her to make a choice. This is love.
Some people say and believe that Dev loves/loved Sonakshi. I believed it too but then he resorted to stalking and spying. My belief shook a little. He restored my belief by marrying her and supporting her in front of few guests. But he totally shattered my belief by referring to Asha as Aunty. That was the day I realised that Dev doesn't really love Sonakshi. He probably thinks that he does but he doesn't.
He never took a stand for her against his mami (who is not his god). That is not love.
He never took a stand for her family when his father in-law was called a thief, a gold digger and what not! This is not love.
He hasn't thought or recalled Sonakshi after the leap. He seems to quite happy with his life. Also, seven years were not enough for this dumb head to realise that his mother was the only person responsible for the unfortunate happenings in his life, not Sonakshi. This is NOT love.
Lastly, publicly humiliating a person you love is not love. It's immature and stupid.
