It was a night of flashbacks today, of the ugly past.
Sona openly acknowledged that the reason she is here today her motivation is all from one person... Her hatred (so she shows) for her ex husband. Will you still say sona he doesn't effect you if everyday of yours in everything you do you are trying to prove him wrong? If soha has walked beside you these past years, dev's memory has pushed you from behind.
Anyways, dev is next called on to stage to give away her prize himself. As he walks up.. Both are flooded with memories of their bitter separation, of all the other said and accused each other of. The looks they had.. I think even without realising their face showed it all. Mostly pain... They are still living with the wounds the other gave them. Alas, only the other can heal them in earnest.
Dev takes the trophy himself saying that since she herself gave the credits of her motivation to him... He deserves it. But he also says this award it very special to him.. And that was another layer peeled away. That smile on his face cannot he anything other than pride for what she has become. He took HER award with HIM to keep! Will you still say farak nahi padta, really dev?
I mean even when the reporter was talking to sona, he butted in himself? Tell me would he have done it if was another prize winner? Hell no! Her words still are important to him.
For sona...i really have to say she behaved really maturely. She could have fought and shouted but chose not to it would be just giving him the attention. Her silence here was her strength because she walked away with her dignity intact. I must say she puts up this I don't care attitude like a second skin!
But alas she too slipped! And yes it was the precap...she practically gritted her teeth at the sight of a random girl in his arms. Tell me why should she bother?
If only she could understand!
Coming to ishwari... The women is really incorrigible because everyone has grown except her. She still thinks sonakshi is the reason she lost dev! Anyway, let's talk about the flashback. He finally understood his mom... When it came to his happiness she backed out. She never asked his choice and the one choice he made she didn't support. One relation even she couldn't handle. She strangled him with her love. She asked him to choose. He couldnt...he was alone again. As much as these are true for ishwari... They are false in case if sona. She never asked him to choose in fact gladly supported him even when he actually chose his mom. She always tried to mend their relation, always understood dev to the point of letting herself go. But alas when she stood up... Dev did too. That time he did stand by sona. But sona obviously didnt believe him... The case of wolf cried the boy!
And this hurt him. That sona left him when he had finally chosen her. That she too didn't understand him.. Not realising that was what she had been doing till how. He is angry that when he lost everything in the form of his mom... Sona left him alone too. This kept him from seeing reason and he still harbours that anger. Everyday of his life now is stop show he needs no one.
I feel he has grown a lot, but scope for a lot is still there. This will be helped by sona hopefully. Then he will redeem himself completely. Waiting for it!
Finally coming to respective families... They really are the base of many problems. Ishwari and bijoy. As much as their children try to move on... They remind them that much more. Remember bijoy's words in kolkata and ishu's words when dev came to meet her. Even today both had same reaction... Blaming the other. More than the couple... The bad blood btw these two families really has to be soothed out before anything can happen.
My final point. I am sure dev showed the girl just to show sona.. He isn't going to do anything. But what I don't understand is even if he does so what? You imaging in real life if some one has broken up or divorced you really feel he or she is supposed to be abstain from sexual relations all life? I mean why.. I don't get this outrage towards dev or the girl? Its their choice! I thought this forum was very progressive.. But can't understand this reaction.
So summing up beautifully episode! I have a feeling dev will leave shortly after and I want to see where he goes and what he does with trophy! And of course sona's reaction too!!!!
