Let me explain why this infuriates me so much. Read about the Mathura rape case. This was a case where two rapists were let off by no less than the Supreme Court of India because their defense argued the young teenaged tribal girl they raped had premarital sex and was "characterless". Yes, it was just 35 years back that a woman's past history could be used as a successful defense to let off rapists. This verdict was so outrageous that it caused huge protests that led to legal reform that a woman's past history cannot be brought into a case. It had to be actually ratified as law that such a pukeworthy defense was illegal.

So, please, stop labelling women based on how they conduct their lives because this is one of the most effective tools society uses to try to shame and guilt women. Just because a woman chooses to meet a guy in a hotel room does not automatically make her a lesser person.

So the girl is cheap because she is probably going to have consentual sex with Dev? What the hell is so wrong with a girl owning her life and enjoying it? If a man sleeps with many women, he's a player but the girl has sex she's called "cheap", this mentality is the reason why the victim is blamed in a rape case with the reasons of "her clothing" or "she was asking for it", please change the title of your topic for it is offensive to literally every female and descent human being out there..
